2026 NBA playoffs

This is for those are too young to have watched the 35-3 disaster against the Bills in 1993.  This is basically the NBA version of it except 10x worse.

Thankfully at this point I’m a casual (at best) NBA fan and this doesn’t bother me much

Guess one of the advantages of rooting for the Spurs is that they have won multiple titles and it stings way less (or not at all).

it was self inflicted anyway.  Them just lobbing up 3pters in the 3rd and parts of the fourth. Assholes you are ahead, bleed out the damn clock.

also no idea wtf fox was doing taking that shot like with 8 secs or whatever instead of just holding onto the ball.

Everyone should have gained a lot more respect for him.  He's a pia.  You stop the Knicks and he shows up.  Anywhere on the court.  Unselfish.  If you get a chance, look at the YT I posted.

The spurs may be the dumbest team to ever make the finals. I've never seen anything like it. They dominated 80% of the series but went completely braindead with 5 mins to go in all 5 games. They just got lucky in game 3. I'd argue they are far more talented but they are too young, and their coach is a moron. Knicks never gave up and made plays late in the 4th to win 4 games. Craziest 4-1 series I've seen in a long time.

Yep. This series was about a young poorly coached team up against veterans that have been there before. Pop should have come down and took over. The one vet who was supposed to step up in Fox completely sold. You could tell the Spurs were affected by the aura. I think the Spurs even keeping Chris Paul and just having him on the bench maybe shifts that.

I have almost too much to say about the series, but man what a moment. Brunson is extremely likeable. These Nova guys winning a ship and then a ship together is unreal. Great story and great energy.

I didn’t watch the last game , but it was all the fucking same .  They’d come out like gangbusters in the first and get totally destroyed in the second q(game 4 aside).

they’d just totally collapse in the fourth quarter as you said .  They reminded me of one of those late Vrabel teams that didn’t have enough talent and just tried to hang on to win. Except in this case , the talent part wasn’t true.

honestly in terms of job security it might have been better off for Johnson if they got destroyed because them choking away these games where they dominated a ton points the figure at coaching.

Crazy.  They are a young team and experience got them.  It happens.  It ain't the coach.  The coach got them there by beating OKC.  We got to the SB and lost.  It wasn't Fisher's fault, it was not because Steve didn't take over the game like he began to do in later years.  That was a magical year for us and when we look back we don't have anything to be ashamed about.  Some stats?

In the YT they talked about how NYK built that team.  They signed players from Brunson's college team.  They came in with a bond that normally takes more time to build.  The unselfishness.  Now, somebody isn't going to get what he's worth for a championship caliber player.  We'll see.
