I mean yeah. Mariota did his back flip into the endzone (injuring himself) in a preseason game.

Here you go again…

It was a “front” flip

The most interesting comment Levis said was that Callahan "sat him down and said we will be passing the ball it situations you wouldn't see us passing last year, like first down" he then realised what he said and said "all sorts of situations" LOL

We just wait.  I think if he shows progress this season while playing every game, he could be the guy with that big ball of his.  If he's overthrowing and airmailing receivers, it would be tough to stick with him.  On paper, the offense looks fair.  The difference will be the Levis.

Staying healthy will be a big challenge for him.  He came in with the injury history that wasn't awful, but caused him problems in college.  Even knowing this he did some reckless things last season that college QBs should know not to do.

A lot of talk about his IQ, but common sense seems to need improvement.  Avoiding injury is a huge part of the equation for being a good NFL QB.  If he's doing things Mahomes, Allen, Stroud and he's already seem them hurt his/other QBs career, commonsense says don't do that.

Levis is talking the talk. Let’s hope he walks the walk on the field. He hasn’t given any sign that he won’t put in the work to be great. Some takeaways from the presser:

-The new offense will be passing at any time. And has a lot of movement and things to confuse the defense. THANK FUCKING GOD!

-The coaches have been in contact with him throughout free agency and the draft and asked his input. He’s known who they signed or drafted before the public. It’s refreshing to see the team actually going all in on him to see if he is the guy.

-He has been making an effort to get to know his new WRs individually. He mentioned him and Ridley needing to do a lot of work to build chemistry(which is something Ridley said Tlaw didn’t do with him) and he said that he’s already been texting Boyd telling him he can’t wait to get to work with someone who already knows the offense because it will help him, and the entire WR corps learn it faster.

- He said that Callahan is the first coach he has had this kind of relationship with. Usually it’s a “Boss and Worker” relationship. But with Callahan there is discussion and he feels like he can go to him with things he doesn’t like or tweaks he wants to make.

-Says he has bought in fully to the new strength and conditioning program and his body feels the best it has in a long time. Has been working on his legs a lot to improve speed.

-Working on not playing hero ball all of the time. There is a time and place to put your body on the line, and he’s focusing on being a smarter QB in that area.
