They really do not understand the Oilers weren't Houstons team, they were Bud Adams team. He owned the rights to the team, and when they moved to Tennessee those rights went with him and the organization. Those rights are passed down to his daughter. Thats why these teams have Owners. Green Bay is the only teams that doesn't have your typical owned I believe. I think someone needs to explain that to them.

That's to many words for Texans, you get to 20, 25 words and they just assume you want their guns and ramble incoherently about how their guns protect their right to prevent Mexicans from killing babies and thats all that stands between us and the Alvacado commie homo media turning us all into Chanel handbags for the lizard people.

She really is. That team wanted nothing to do with the Oilers for 15+ years until JJ Watts roid rotted brain started whining about it. I want the Titans to rebrand back to the Oilers now just as an extra fuck you to the Texans. Or just go back to those colors full time and get a new Titans logo.

What did she say?  It's a pay wall.

If you’re on your phone you can get past the paywall by using the “reader” view.

they basically wanted to copy the Oilers uniforms with a slightly different shade of blue and then when Amy found out she had the league put a stop to it.

“We heard that loud and clear from our fans: They wanted H-Town Blue represented. They wanted Houston represented,” Cal McNair said while appearing with Hannah on SportsRadio 610's In the Loop on Tuesday. “So, we worked with the NFL, and there was some push and shove and we came to where we could get to with the NFL, giving us a compromise, sort of a certain percentage in the uniform. I think our fans would like more, and we’re probably in that same boat, but we’re working with the powers that be with the league and all that stuff to get to where we could get.”

Hannah said the team initially was given permission to use a slightly different color blue more prominently, but that changed as news of their plans began to spread around the league.

“I think there was some talk, I think even publicly we discussed that we were going to be able to use a different color than Columbia Blue, so when that was released and we got approval to do that, that’s when we started getting some pushback,” Hannah said. “And then it got to a point where they just said no you can’t, and then we compromised.”

When Hannah was asked for the reason of the pushback, she bluntly replied, “What do you think?”

Thank god for that.

The Titans really should just change their uniforms to some type of columbia blue as the primary color, like the version that was posted earlier in this thread.  I've already made my reasons noted when talking about the uniforms last year but it really would be a benefit to the team in multiple ways and it would also put a stop to a lot of this nonsense with the Texans.

It’s absolutely wild the amount of people that think the Texans should have the Oilers history and uniforms. This thread on Reddit is actually insane. They are piling on the Titans so hardcore for putting a stop to them using a lot of the blue.

Maybe if they changed their name back to the Tennessee Oilers it would stop.  But they clearly don't get it.  It's not rocket science.  The Oilers left Houston for Tennessee and brought their history with them.  Just like the Colts did, just like the Rams did multiple times, Raiders, Lakers, Jazz, etc.  Obviously it's confusing people because the name changed.  The big mistake was changing the name but it made sense at the time.

Tennessee needs to make the switch

part of what makes the OG look work is the White Helmet.
would be nice to see this mock with the white helmet and replace the Navy stripes back to the original striping.

basically, swap the Oil derrick for the Titan logo of choice and call it a day

and never pair the blue pants with the white jersey. if they are going to wear the blue pants, it needs to be with the blue top

IMO

The best thing about this is a lot of their fans believe she got under the skin of the Titans fanbase, but it’s been indifference at most for the majority.  The thread popped up on Reddit on the Texans page and it was kinda sad how desperate they are for some kind of feud over this.

I have a friend that has lived in Houston for a bit, but well after the Oilers exit.  He was telling me how those colors are Houston and it’s their culture and heritage more than it’s the Titans.  I told him the story about the Browns and how Cleveland had the league give back the name of the franchise with a deal they worked out with the owners.  That’s a city where they care about the team leaving.  If you let a team leave and only give a shit they’ve left because everyone has rediscovered how amazing the jerseys and coloring are…that’s just jealously and remorse.

I know the Titans won’t do it, but I’d be 100% behind rebranding the team to the Oilers once the new stadium opens up.

The one thing I can say with almost certainty is that the Titans are the most hated team in the division.  We know that the Titans are the Texans biggest rival.  And it also seems like they're the Texans biggest rival.  Not sure who the Colts biggest rival in the division is but I would think it's also the Titans.
