Honestly I don't blame them. I think this stupid hedging and getting territorial about it--a proxy uni war is lame on both sides. 

 

We have a great claim to the unis and history of course. We are wearing the throwbacks regularly now. I wish we had kept these colors.

 

Personally, I don't actually begrudge Texans fans who wish they had the uni and defend the association with the city of Houston--especially for people who have family that grew up as Oilers fans. It makes sense that this bitching and infighting is ambiguous because we took the jerseys but did not use them. I can see the perspective of fans of all kinds, just not ownership. If we continue to use them regularly, the claims become even goofier. I've said it before, but our unis should be the Oilers ones with a variation of a sword as the logo. It would hit harder than anything in the league. 

 

Using the "H" town blue is going to make them look like perpetual little brothers, and nothing they create will look as good as the OG Oilers unis. The navy with red and light blue looks pretty shitty to me.

I also had an X link to their new leaked unis a couple days ago, but didn't post it.  Was too iffy.  The uni colors looked to be a bit too light for this leaked helmet.  Were sort of a light blueish that was in between the Jags and the Oilers unis.

That franchise is pathetic. They think they are on the cusp of greatness but they are really on that ultimate April Fools precipice. Pathetic helmet, Tank threw away his ACL, the god awful Diggs trade... it's as if history was no teacher at all. I'm half expecting to hear Stroud got caught up at some massage parlor.

I hated the idea for a long time but came around when I rationalized it as just pissing off people from texas.

I was the same way, but man those jerseys are awesome. And seeing in person just how many people were wearing oilers gear plus all of the sideline banners, end zone paint, etc was crazy.

Every time an NFL team releases a new uniform design, they always appear to be inspired by the uniforms in the XFL/Arena League/“Any Given Sunday”.  
 

Then a few years later, when I eventually get used to their new ugly-ass uniforms…they do another redesign and come up with something even cheezier and more hideous.
