Reich had competitive teams in Indy. He is far from the problem in Carolina. That franchise is and has been a mess for years. Reich will probably have nightmares about coming to play in Nashville, lol.

They have had SIX coaches since Tepper has owned the team. He's the problem.  I think Reich is average but he didn't get dealt the best hand here.  And Young looks like a huge bust.  I'm not sure his style of play works in the NFL as opposed to Alabama where they had a clear talent advantage.

Does Kraft really think that Belichick has somehow forgotten how to coach? They drafted a career back QB because he played at Alabama. BB had Brady but he also knows defense. Pats offense is among the worst in the league if not THE worst. And in my opinion, they never have drafted really well. I'm also not too sure if BB hiring his son as DC was a good idea.

The last pro bowl offensive player Belichick drafted was Gronk.

It was widely reported that JRob was the one who stood on the table and convinced Belichick to draft Gronk.

That also explains why he was always OK with drafting guys with injury questions. Gronk fell because of his back issues IIRC

Btw I know these guys are ultra competitive and that's part of how they even get in these jobs so maybe it doesn't feel like this (at first at least) but getting hired and fired in like a year and still pocketing millions of dollars has got to be one of the best things that can happen to a person!

Schefter said today he expects between 7-10 teams looking for new head coaches this offseason, Panthers/Raiders already in the market and the Chargers, Commanders, Patriots, Bears also look likely to join those two.

Throw the Titans (and others) in that mix and how would you rank the initial appeal of each job?

I'd think Chargers are #1 because of the young, ascending QB in place... if that is even still the consensus.

The Bears are going to be an attractive destination this offseason with the #1 pick and either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye to build around.

Both of their stars seem to have faded lately. Do you know how they rank as prospects compared to Herbert?

I am not sure how the team thought Bryce Young would have a high chance of playing in the NFL.  When he walks around between plays he looks like an elementary student that is walking around a high school campus - all the other players are stand-out bigger than him.

As prospects with no hindsight regards what Herbert has done in the NFL both Williams and Maye will be graded higher than Herbert entering the NFL, there also needs to be some recognition that the teams around Williams/Herbert at USC and UNC are not good.
