Simmons alluded to the offense not carrying their weight the last 2 post game pressers. They are living with the growing pains of a rookie QB while 1 less year of their playing/earning careers is for playing out the string. I'm sure that's an issue, especially in the last 3 games. They hadn't put the white flag up for 2023 yet, had they? And I'm not even saying they are wrong for throwing Levis in there, I was in favor of it. If Levis goes out and puts up 27+ and wins then he'll regain both those percentages and they would still be meaningless. The problem isn't the QB. We now have seen that. They are looking at the defense getting heat when it's the offense not carrying their load....That's what it sounds like to me. And if people on the defense think the better QB isn't playing, then yes that might be hard to swallow even if it's in the organization's best interests long term. Exactly but the QB change could factor into that very easily when they see teams taking advantage of Levis' inexperience. You're just not going to win many games scoring 16 PPG.
