When  I think about positional value on offense , I think of QB, LT, WR1 getting top tier dollars.. then TE1, WR2, RT, 3 down RB in the next tier..Guards, Center, RB's, TE 2, slot receivers are 3rd tier  positions, unless they are high level pro-bowl type players..

There isn't a lot of consistent above average NFL level OL play amongst that group, could it be better than the 2022 abomination absolutely but it also has a boom or bust look about it.

This OL and offensive side of the ball retooling/rebuild or whatever you want to call it isn't going to come together overnight the most important thing is going to be hitting on and developing the draft picks.

I'd expect two OL in the draft as well, maybe one at 11

When you consider the usual lumps and bumps involved with developing most CFB OL into steady NFL players the sooner they are in the Titans system and improving the better.

What they currently have is likely at least functional. They can pass protect well enough to execute a drop back passing game. They couldn't do that last year

Have to hope that Vrabel/RC /Kelly have a plan for how to transition college olinemen to professional olinemen.. and that Houghtailing can coach it.. expect a lot of growing pains with this bunch , with some really good games and some really poor games . But by the second half of the season it should level out

I think Carter had almost total control of that room and was real big on keeping the same 5 out there for cohesion and communication reasons and was very reluctant to cycle new guys in when it was obvious the starters play was way subpar. Hopefully Houghtailing views it differently. One good thing is he's probably the guy who's been working with the younger non starters way more.

So help me understand this.  How does an undersized OG/C get blown up as a G because he's not big enough to be a G, but not get blown up as a C?  He's still facing the same DT/NG.

G is way more likely to be 1v1 and have a guy directly in his face. C usually doesn't have a NT right over him and is usually helping double team or is getting help on a double team. It's why C is usually paid the least and also why you see guys play C a lot longer after their physical prime vs G and T positions.
