This is telling me that the Titans are going external which I think is good.  Things need to be done differently than the way JRob did them

Not necessarily. Cowden didn't interview anywhere else this year. He got second interviews last year with the Steelers and Giants. Maybe he already knows he'll get the job.

"Sham hiring process" is kind of a meme, but it's actually kind of the way hiring has worked with AAS.

You are joking but don't you find it odd no one has mentioned Jrob since he got fired? How was his name not brought up for the Cardinals job? Wasn't the narrative teams would view him favorably since the Titans had had 6 straight winning seasons? Makes you wonder if the league didn't view jrob the way some here did.

Think about what Payton said about the division.  I think the NFL knew.  I also think Quiver Chins looks like a dinosaur by trading AJB and hitching the wagon to Henry as the core offensive piece (beyond QB).  I remember Sando's piece mentioning the decision as questionable back after the draft.

The silence about Robinson is deafening. It makes it more suspicious he did something we haven't learned about

There has to be a lot more to his dismissal than we know or may ever know

Wasn't that long ago that posters were claiming that QC wouldn't have any trouble getting another GM job

After he was fired someone said this?

Otherwise I don't see why it would come up after he signed a 5 year extension less than a year ago

I don't think that's fair.  I know people will cry this if Cowden gets the job but it's very clear they explored other options.

He did something improper and it just happened to be the same weekend they got lit up by the Eagles?

This is where I was going. Either he's viewed as not doing a very good job and just rode Vrabel's coattails or something else is at play that hasn't come out yet.

In the theoretical thread about choosing between Robinson and Vrabel. Bongo lite claimed this....
