Thrill
Real hot take here: We're gonna need more than Cody Hollister and Hilliard to win a superbowl. Thanks for the insight Jamal. Seems about right though. Tannehill is obviously not in the Aaron Rodgers tier of QBs. But he is better than Trent Dilfer, Nick Foles, Rex Grossman, Kerry Collins, Jake Dellhome, last Denver season-Peyton Manning, last-year-Tom Brady, and a whole bunch of other QB's who've won or played in superbowls. He needs more help than he's getting right now, that's for sure.

In the meantime, let's try to win a Championship or two and appreciate Henry while he's still around. Lol come on. No one thinks Tannehill is the messiah and no one here doesn't appreciate Henry. Why you and others have to make this binary is the root of the issue.

When Tannehill is accompanied by strong parts in the offensive machinery, he looks like a bonafide tractor. When something breaks, he looks more like a trailer. Since arriving in TN, Tannehill has been superb in the clutch with so many game winning or shoulda-been game winning drive. I’m not sure I see the lack of “it factor” in that regard. I don't really know what "it factor" means anyway. Tannehill definitely has a killer instinct and is a true leader and the hardest worker on the team in the film room. Is the anon GM simply just saying he's not a HoF-type top 5 QB then? I think everyone can agree there. I've said the same thing all along: Tannehill needs a strong run game and strong surrounding cast to thrive.

He's been trying to climb the ladder of relevance since he showed up all those years ago. His first screename was jamalisgod or jamalisagod. Tells you everything you need to know about him. He wants people to like him and doesn't understand why no one does. Jamalsagod, which was self-depricating in origin, actually. Not that you know what even that level of self-awareness looks like. Speaking of which, between you and me, one of us insults everybody and the other begs people to agree with him and to join his team. We all know who cares what others think. BudsOilers
The GM is correct given the current state of affairs. Does anyone actually think the Titans can win a SB with Tannehill throwing to NKI, Rogers, Hollister, and Fitzpatrick? Guess what? Neither do the Titans as their whole plan was to have Brown and Jones at WR while NKI was the 5th WR and Holister and Fitzpatrick were on the PS...... Of course, they are not contending for a SB if they don't get some defensive players back either even if the offense gets healthier.

The QB position always trumps the RB position. But Tannehill needs Henry or another high level back with a high level run game to reach the promised land, imo. ctm
Starting a thread to quote an anonymous source. LOL Maybe it was because his before/after Henry logic got destroyed in another thread and it was time to divert attention.

No I insult you and others who start shit with me. Do we really need to revisit you trying to topple Oilerman and others to make a name for yourself? You want the masses to like you and respect you. Thats your core issue besides being football illiterate and believing you are the smartest guy in the room. I also don't need to beg anyone to join my team on this or other subjects. Most of the smart posters here understand we are are aligned in QB play, playaction, Henry, etc...

Yeah I recall, I always contended that Tannehill was a top 7-8 guy - I think that was maybe just a tad generous but in the right area code when he's really cooking. BudsOilers
I'm just shocked that Tannehill isn't lighting it up throwing to the 4th-7th receivers on the team behind the 27th ranked pass blocking unit!

I don't think people were necessarily saying they'd take him over every QB besides Mahomes and Rodgers if they had to start a franchise right now. There are obviously 7+ guys you'd rather have to start a team with than Tannehill even when he was playing at an elite level.
