tgo
Interesting note: Raimondo more heavily involved in bipartisan infrastructure negotiations than Buttigieg.

Titans279
I read Jeff Stein's article about this days ago but this is a good short explanation. It's more of an accounting trick to say that it's paid for.

tgo
Big political win for Biden and McConnell both imo, but more importantly it's a win for American democratic governance. I think the country really needed this in this moment. It's really lacking on the policy side though. It will help the economy marginally and will create jobs, but falls short in other areas. Still, a big net positive and a clapback to the haters who said Biden couldn't deliver on any bipartisanship. It's also the vessel through which the big reconciliation bill can come to fruition - that is - the mechanism that delivered Manchin's vote. oldschool
Its pretty funny reading woke twitter go on and on about how the GOP was going to scuttle the bill up until it passed 15 mins ago. some of the idiots were even posting about needing 60 votes today, lol. The number of citizens in general who have no clue how the system works is insane. tgo
