I hope so....however, this definitely gives a defense attorney some strong ammo

Not so much. The restraint itself isn’t in any police training and was excessive which lead to death despite pleas over an extended amount of time.

It’s not about strangulation per se as much as it is against using excessive and unapproved tactics.

I can confirm the second tweet has legs from what others are telling me. There is some truly fucked up stuff going on in Minneapolis now that is not from the protestors or the community or the people outraged by murder.

The destruction and fire(s) are largely being done by groups that aren’t interested in rioting. It’s like they have a clear mission to destroy targets. When others confront them, it’s clear they’re not on the side of Floyd or justice. Minneapolis is a beacon of progressive ideal in the Midwest. It wouldn’t surprise me if these proud boy groups made it an easy target for anyone wanting to destroy that idea and get your MAGA on. It’s just interesting the pro-cop side of this is the one truly destroying things.

Proud boys aren't pro-cop, they are pro-violence.  It's not surprising to me that the pro-violence side is being violent.

I say pro-cop to keep it simple. It’s becoming a complex multi-layered political event akin to the Middle East. There’s multiple groups with different motives.

It’s just incorrect to assign the damage, riots, and looting all to one group (the protestors) when that isn’t what is happening.

I've seen plenty of young white people looting and destroying property, they're actually probably the worst of it. I've seen black people begging them to stop and trying to stand people down and control their own protests to keep them peaceful.

And I've also seen young angry disadvantaged black people looting and destroying property.

So it's really a mixed bag - although it's by and large young people in general who are getting out of hand as per usual throughout history when it comes to rioting.

It’s telling they are making a point of saying they will release the names of those arrested. I hope they follow-through on it. I think the nation will be surprised to see it’s largely Proud Boys or ANTIFA or whatever outlier identified group that are not a part of the community.

Just heard that most if not all the arrested were from out of town. This is a pattern and it needs to have serious consequences.

I think anyone caught throwing even one brick that is arrested should be given an orange jump suit and is marched out everyday to clean up the destruction and made to rebuild all that is destroyed. They cant leave until it is built again. Also, any of their possessions, bank accounts,  etc are seized and sold and the monies used to pay for their incarceration and or the rebuild.

Anyone caught funding these people suffer the same consequences.

The cop had no right to grab his phone and throw it.  I hope the attacker was caught,  but that cop got some instant karma.  Bet he won’t grab anyone’s phone like that again.

The cop got what he deserved.

It’s clear what’s going on Thursday and Friday night is not the protestors or the Minneapolis community.

The whole narrative of a community destroying itself is false.

The far-right is also taking advantage of the situation and trying to escalate.

this isn't going to go well.....

George Floyd autopsy shows no signs of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation, attributes death to 'being restrained, his underlying health conditions, and any potential intoxicants in his system'

He had underlying health conditions, including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease, according to the report.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/george-floyd-autopsy-shows-no-123131555.html

Do you mean that poor cop was just unlucky that man happened to die right as he was torturing him for 9 minutes?

I've read a few thousand autopsy reports in my day and am going to point out the obvious problem of blaming the death on "any potential intoxicants in his system".

Call me crazy but pretty sure you don't get a permanent blindness diagnosis a day or two after the trauma unless you lost your eye.

Maybe she is lying, but I don't see a reason to assume so
