I’m interested to know who you would have rather been the nominee in terms of having the best chance against Trump.

Therein lies the problem. The current climate doesn't have one. I liked Warren and Yang the best of the top group but neither had a chance. And both are far from perfect. Between Sanders and Biden I'd back Sanders.

Sanders had a better shot than Biden. People putting their faith in Biden to win are delusional.

I also liked Yang, though he was somewhat out of his element. I’d like to see a spot for him in a Dem Admin. Same goes for Warren.

I even agree with Sanders over Biden to a degree against Trump because of the fact all the moderates would have held their nose to get Trump out of office where I’m not sure the same can be said about Sanders supporters to Biden.

Either way, I don’t think Biden is a terrible candidate this year because he is an excellent contrast to Trump. He is an empathetic man with a ton of experience and connections. You may not view that as a huge plus, but with the way our government has been gutted I personally find it necessary. Hopefully he’s up to the task.

I agree with the top paragraph, word for word.

Second paragraph, my emotions want me to have more faith in Bernie but intellectually, I fear we have to have Biden to win.  There are still enough yellow dog democrats left that won't vote as progressive as I'd like.  Friggin cowards.  I'll vote for Biden, without holding my nose, just in hopes of ousting the orange baboon.

How was Bernie beating Trump when he couldn't even beat Biden?

I don’t share his view but judging from the polling all of the potential Democratic nominees were ahead of Trump despite none of them being able to beat Biden.

Most of them were within the margin of error except Biden and Bernie based on a plethora of polls.

My point is that the primary and general are different and he’s thinking about it wrong because they’re different voting populations.

All of them would have had a much higher chance of winning the general than they did of winning the nomination.

Of course, but which one had a better shot than Biden to win the general? I think Biden is the only one who brings the Midwest and can flip Wisconsin.

He thought he was a college professor not too long ago.

He was a college professor not long ago. He was teaching classes at Penn after being VP - didnt know that?

He actually has taught quite a bit over

time and even has school divisions named after him at Penn and Delaware which he actually oversaw for a time.

Biden School of Public Policy at University of Delaware and the Penn Biden Center.

This will upset you so be prepared but:

Not only is Biden a political powerhouse, but he is also an academic powerhouse.

Read a book sometime (no, Killing Jesus by Bill O’Reiley doesn’t count) and learn something.
