The senator that authored the amendment said "[The Amendment] will not, of course, include persons born in the United States of foreigners, aliens, or who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers..." It was never intended to be for anchor babies and was twisted over the years. If it goes to the Supreme Court, I would wager birthright citizenship ends. It’s plainly clear. “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.” It isn’t just a law, it is the words of the Constitution. And it’s idiotic to think that the Supreme Court is can just overturn the Constitution. You clearly don’t understand a damned thing about what the Supreme Court does if you think they are going to overturn the text of the Constitution itself...
