They simply missed it. Crackbacks were eliminated a few years ago.

yeah but they got people in NY looking at it and advising them (supposedly)

how can you not at least get that part right...It was a personal foul and possible suspension.

they end up with 3 taunting calls that offset...I just don't really get what they were lookin at and what exactly does the NFL want to enforce.  How was the Butler tackle a PF and that not.

I don't believe they can throw a flag during replay. The on field officials have to call it and they didn't.

Under the new rule I thought he shoulda been ejected. It looked like he led with his helmet at first. Haven’t bothered to rewatch it.

Regardless i thought flagrant personal fouls fouls such as that one were grounds for ejection now anyway

I hate to say it, but Lewan and this offensive line is so overrated. Nothing like Stewart and Roos or the offensive lines of years past.

The offensive line was rated no 1 in the league in pass blocking this week and has been consistently highly rated the last two years by most metrics.

This line is likely better than those lines with Conklin healthy because the guards are better even though Mawae was better than Jones.

Yeah, tgo, I'd like to personally agree with that, but the up and down struggles, sacks given up, inconsistent running game, and now this brand new coaching staff with two young coaches that really just started their NFL coaching careers, it just seems like more of a consistent regression than accession. The O-line really looked top five going into 2017 and like I said in a previous post, up until that Houston game last year, started to fall off.

It’s cool that the OL did so well pass blocking without keeping 9 guys back to block

Well actually they did send only 2 out in routes a few times, the Stocker reception for one.

But I was actually impressed with the design of a lot of the plays and thought LaFleur did a good job. It's too bad the passing game still sucked and Mariota got hurt anyway.

Nah there was still 4 options on that pass
