They do not have a missile that can hit us. We need to stop treating them like a world power. They have no navy, no air force and a poorly fed and supplied army. Their infrastructure could be ruined in one day of bombing.

Amazing China seems to respect Trump more than the last 3-4 presidents.

We know conclusively that they have developed missiles that can reach the east coast of the US. We know they have nuclear weapons that could be mounted on those missiles. That’s enough.

And any war means they could decimate Seoul and kill millions. But perhaps you don’t care about people dying...

It's working. Somebody finally standing up to these assholes is actually working. About time.

50% of the north Korean army would defect in a New York minute if they knew they would not be shot.

We could disable most of their energy and communications with 24 hours of bombing.

You said they are a third world country so why are you afraid?

Maybe because it appears that NK has a nuclear weapon that can hit the US.  Furthermore, the more you ratchet up tensions, the more likely a miscalculation occurs by one of the parties.

Honestly more worried for South Koreans. NK could easily send a nuke there if they have one. It's not about whether or not the US would win. It's about how many will die in the process. And there's the humanitarian crisis afterwards.

both/and

It's another consideration.

Regardless, increasing tensions via twitter is not a good thing.  There's a greater chance one side goes pre-emptive because they fear the other side is about to launch. This is elementary nuclear strategy.

We'd decimate their military but then it'd turn into another insurgency but with nukes as NK has been fed lies about the US for decades and we'd be an invading army. The chances of a nuke or at least a dirty bomb being smuggled into the US would increase.

Every time the US dismantles another countries nuke program, they invade soon after.

Kim Jung Whatever the fuck is only doing what he has to to survive. They are not a threat to the US. They are not going to attack the US. He is not an idiot.

The real fear is that Trump says "fuck it" and bombs them but honestly Trump is a blow hard that talks a lot. He's using nukes the same way he uses law suits... as a threat but never actually does it.

He(Rolltide) doesn't care about South Koreans; they're not Americans.

This has always been the issue, but simplistic chest-beating wannabes keep forgetting this.

*Damn, nobody knew world leadership was this complicated (completely cedes Pacific leadership to China, while kicking rocks in frustration)*

Nobody thinks we can't annihilate their army. The issue is that they've got so much artillery and potentially chemical/nuclear weapons pointed at Seoul it would only take them a couple hours to kill a hundred thousand South Koreans.
