So, Corey Davis... 6 catches for 91 yards

Didn't expect him to be this raw of a route runner coming out but he does what you want a big time wr to do and that is attack the ball when its in the air. He will learn how to be more precise with his routes and release, the biggest jump is when he learns where the defenders are on the field in relation to him. That's when he can catch turn and out angle a guy for a big play.

He shows some traits, but I'm scared to death that he's just a high-end #2 receiver.

A scout buddy of me said that old school scouts compared him to Rob Moore. Not a bad thing, but not great either.

Whos rob moore

Little did I know that one month later, Rob Moore would be his coach!

the thing is, he's not raw as a route runner. he's as good as any rookie coming into the league has ever been.. he just was inconsistent with his concentration there. that was a bit of a knock on him coming out too, but mostly with his catching and losing concentration there. granted, he was like 65% of the offense in college so i'm sure there was some tiredness there too.

Personally, I think Sterling Sharpe is Davis' closest comparison.

Davis is a couple inches taller than Sharpe....but the overall build and playing style are very, very similar.

I won't argue that but would be more than happy if he is the exact same as Jeffery.

Maybe people don't remember but Jeffery only had 26 catches his rookie year.

Then he had 89 for over 1400 yards his 2nd season.  85 catches his 3rd.  54 in only 9 games 4th season.

Now he seems to have slowed a little but is still a real solid WR.

Where are you getting the Jeffery comparison? Jeffery was known as jump-ball receiver with mediocre route running and average speed. That's more Mike Williams than Corey Davis.

Davis was actually compared to Amari Cooper.
