President Donald Trump once called National Security Adviser Mike Flynn at 3 a.m. to ask about the economic impact of a strong US dollar, according to a report from The Huffington Post.

SV Date and Christina Wilke, citing sources with knowledge of the conversation, reported that Trump asked Flynn whether the strong dollar was good or bad for the US economy during the early-morning phone call. According to the sources, Flynn said he was not sure and Trump should ask an economist instead.

So does anyone really believe Obama knows more about economic issues and what a strong or weak dollar means?  Right.  I'd rather have a president that admits there are experts he can ask rather than a clueless empty suit.  Obama probably couldn't run a Denny's so compared to Trump it is like night and day when it comes down understanding business.  I guess it is better to have a lib who makes all his decisions based on polling data.

Yes, in some sectors a strong dollar is beneficial and in others it is not.

I just said Trump was right to ask because he didn't know. On the other hand, Obama was a genius who knew world economics. I will agree Obama could not run a business like Trump. But there is a huge difference in world economics and empire economics.

Just not paying immigrants for work is good for the bottom line, but you don't want a president like that.

I don't think because one person is right in one instance, makes him always right and every one else wrong all the time.

We are never getting anywhere if we are too jaded to never give credit where credit is due. That's how politicians have duped us. Repubs are always wrong/right. It doesn't matter what they try to do, all that matters is what party they belong.

Of course Obama knew more about any given aspect of the Presidency than Donald Fucking Trump because Donald fucking Trump doesn't know the first thing about anything having to do with his new job.

WAIT, did I say "new job"? What I should have said was this is his FIRST JOB!

This dumb motherfucker has never worked a day in his life until now! And no, parading around with daddy's millions, buying up real estate, running mail order steak scams, heading a fake "University" and having other people (who now hate you) write books for you doesn't count as real jobs. He's been playing with his pop's millions for decades. He hasn't done a goddmamned thing on his own except declare bankruptcies.

So yes, shit for brains, a lot of people think Obama was a lot more competent at this job than Donald fucking Trump is.

Right.  Dumb-asses see OBama after 8 years.  Trump has been in office one month.  And, Obama did little or nothing positive.  Give the guy a few months or you are simply a biased dumbass.  Trump has far more business knowledge and sense than Obama ever dreamed of.

Oh, Trump works his ass off retards.  Always has.  I don't agree with everything the guy does or says but my guess is he will take far fewer vacations than Obama did and get far more done.  It won't even be close.  Trump will spend more hours working than Obama and Bush combined.

First of all, hours /= success, work smarter, not harder, and I sincerely doubt Trump does more meaningful work anyways. And if by getting more americans insured than at any other point isn't a success, I'm not sure what you consider success to be. I don't even give the president too much credit for the economy, but it is in far better shape than when he took office, so I'm not sure what day to day negatives you're seeing from Obama's term.

There's certainly nothing wrong with a President asking his advisors to explain something he isn't well informed about.  That's one big reason the Presidential advisors have those jobs.

I have no doubt Obama didn't know everything and often received information from his advisors.

The issue Trump will face is that most of his advisors don't know jack shit either.
