Would you guys do Warmack and a 3rd? That's pretty much exactly what they did.

errr, yeah

so much for guards being worthless compared to pass rushers. And NJ dumping before big contract hit next year I think.

Didn't realize how bad Cooper has been in AZ. Only started 9 games in 3 seasons and was moved to C last year.

That's what makes no sense to me, we rip on Chance but he has been better than Cooper! Unless he was really injured and I just never knew. This trade baffles me because it's not like NE lost due to their hodge podge line last year.

Edit: Was placed on IR before due to a broken leg

Said in the FA thread, but it's crazy, you just don't see good young pass rushers get traded right in the middle of their prime.

Agreed. I'll suspect something's amiss here with Jones. I'll wait for some intel from our nor'easter posters

He's had some strange off the field stuff. Maybe there's much more to that that we're not aware of.

Didn't he spend a weekend in the hospital after a drug overdose? That might be it.  You just don't trade young pass rushers in their prime, no matter how bad your interior OL is.

I can't think of too many guys who left the Pats and ended up the better of it. They don't trust Jones. Something with him. Hightower and Collins are UFA next year along with Jones. Perhaps they decided they're going to try to keep both of those guys instead.

was very promising but that injury was definite career set back. But he's still young so could develop further in time.

I recall Cyrus really liking him in draft, more than warmack.

It's all about cap management.  Pats had Chandler Hightower Collins and Butler all coming up for contracts next year.  No way they would have been able to keep all 4.  So they trade Chandler  take the second round pick and keep it moving.
