I saw all of these silly arguments last year about smoke screens and the team being committed to Mettenberger.  My simple take was Mariota would be the best QB on the roster from day one.  Went through the noise until the draft and my take was proven to be true.  Once again, I will leave it to the draft.

Idgaf if you're right or wrong this year and I care even less that you were right last year. All I care about is the team not making any more dumb fuck decisions with its resources the way it has the last half decade (at least).

Tunsil would be a dumb fuck decision given all the other solutions available to fix this team's oline woes. It's that simple. Nothing else needs to be said about it.

Opinions are like assholes.  Everybody's got one.  I'm sure you believe that your opinion matters, but I am sure Robinson (much like me) could give a damn.  Robinson will do what's best for the team whether you approve or not.

What these people are not realizing is, if we sign a RT in FA then Tunsil is off the board for us... You're practically saying if we don't address OT in FA then Tunsil is the pick most likely, and you are correct. Also I agree Bosa won't be a natural fit in this defense and he is a gamble in that essence... Alot of posters will get pissed when someone says that because they want the best pass rusher, but fail to realize scheme is everything and he simply does not fit the scheme...

So if we address RT in FA, and don't snatch a FS in FA... We might go against the grain and take the best DB in the draft who is a FS and can also play CB

They can get pissed all they want, but they are not being rational about it.

You can't make the massive mistakes Griffin was routinely making the last few years at his position even if he played well 80% of the time. He's also on the wrong side of 30 and makes way too much money. The team was better off last year on defense when he was out of the line up.

McCourty and Griffin both signed at the same time and neither have been worth the money. JM is still younger and can help the secondary if he can get healthy and put in the right position, but his time is running out if he doesn't turn it around quickly.

He has one year to turn it around, in my opinion.  Next year they can cut him with zero dead money.  If they really wanted to they could cut him this year with a small amount of dead money, but that seems to be a drastic move and not one that I'd really like.

I think the fact the secondary is in such shambles is going to help JM stick, otherwise he would be in danger right now

When Stafford, whose really a SS, played FS in the Atlanta game for Griffin the secondary was clearly better.

As for McCourty, he was always overpaid but he was at least a good, solid corner. But this groin issue has been lingering for 2 years now, he only played in a handful of games last year & had easily his worst year in 2014. If the secondary wasn't so bad he'd be a cut candidate, his salary is huge. I really hope the plan is to move him to FS, he's ripe for the change. He's not a great cover guy but he's smart, strong, and a very good tackler. He could be a very good FS.
