luvyablue256
Stillman claims a high level source within the NFL tells him a faction of owners want to force out the Adams family, but Goodell doesn't want to force them out.
Jamalisms
Interesting to hear the Goodell side but otherwise it's old news.
BudsOilers
I can believe that. I am sure they are some of the other family owned teams are looked down upon.

BudsOilers
They probably don't like Mark Davis either. They just steamrolled his ass yesterday.
wiscotitansfan
I'm sure the other owners, especially the ones in the AFC South want us to keep Mularkey! Let's vote on that too.
THE_TITAN
If that is true then it's a disgrace. The Adams family has owned the Titans/Oilers franchise for as long as the NFL has existed, only several owners/ownership groups can still make that claim. Amy Adams Strunk may not have the liquid assets that the NFL would like but, as a unit, the Adams family are still filthy rich relatively speaking. No checks will be bouncing on their watch. The NFL can't make up ownership rules as they go along and then expect long tenured owners to abide by them. The Tennessee Titans are a private business and if the NFL is pricing them out of ownership or trying to force a sale then the Titans need to sue, plain and simple. I don't think the NFL has a case, they would be embarrassed in court. Maybe that's why (if Stillman is correct) Goodell does not want to force a sale. Amy Adams Strunk did make a mistake yesterday, however, she should've gone to the ownership meeting and boldly confronted the bullying owners that are trying to force her out. She has as much right to ownership of a team as they do and that should be made clear to them. Also she could've said "If my situation means the NFL or a group of owners want me to sell the team then the Rooneys should sell the Steelers, otherwise it's a double-standard". Number9
I don't necessarily think they should take the team away from them. But the way they have mismanages a billion dollar asset makes it understandable. The Adams have devalued the franchise which devalues the league. There have been bad teams in the league for years, but it always seemed the owners were making a serious effort. The Adams seem to have been forced to try. begooode
Gonna homer here -- During the run up to the Superbowl TM I wonder if any of these unhappy owners are trust fund babies who forgot Bud financed a good part of the old AFL back in the day just to keep it going. just sayin'

But they don't care. They've ignored him for the HOF when he should be in it. It doesn't matter that his teams never won a SB, he was the owner of an NFL franchise for 53 years and an integral part of the formation of the AFL as he was one of the only financially stable owners. Same with the Spanos family. These rich bastards don't give a fuck where you came from. If you aren't looking to make money for the entire league and just want to line your own pocket, they want you gone. Can't say I blame them.
