Love this pick

D'Angelo Russell is going to be a superstar

i see LA signing Love and Aldridge in FA and setting up a year of one last run maybe 2 for Kobe

what an insane offseason for LA if they get these two big men

Aldridge, Randle, Love, Kobe, Russell as starting 5 with Clarkson, Swaggy P, Hill and a few others coming off the bench.

Love is almost a lock for LA and next year when Kobe leaves or retires that frees up tons of cap and allows them to make a push for Westbrook who was Loves roommate at UCLA.

OKC can't keep both Durante and Westbrook and most likely just drafted Westbrooks replacement in Payne

Lakers will be returning to dynasty mode starting this year

its not over yet. This draft is deep and LA has 28ty and 34 pick left.

Also Kobe won't have to play major minutes this year with Clarkson and Russell locking down PG and Swaggy P rotating with Kobe to keep him fresh for playoffs

This isn't NBA2K. They won't land both Love and Aldridge. I likewise don't see Durant going to LA if he leaves. They could def. get either Love or Aldridge, both have ties to LA, but it's just as likely they get neither.

That said...I love the pick too. Couldn't really go wrong with Oke or Russ, but I think Russ has more upside and is Harden-esque.

The rumour is they picked Russell over Okafor because Aldridge told them he will sign for them

Right, but Aldridge and Love? Unlikely. And I think LA are major players, but if the Spurs clear room they are the favorites.

I can't see him turning down the Spurs and I think they can clear room easily by trading Tiago Splitter.  Love is far more likely to sign with the Lakers.  OP must not have watched Bryant lately to think he would play less minutes.    I'd laugh if they get turned down by both Love and Aldridge and have to sign someone like Greg Monroe.

Fuck the Lakers

Amen.  They are easily the least educated and worse fanbase I have ever seen.

I see your point. They think their team can sign both Love and Aldridge with Kobe making $25M, while OKC can't keep both Durant and Westbrook.

Dynasty Mode? Gimme a break! Their poor fans can get excited all they want, but the Lakers are still the worst team in LA!

Love is from LA.

He's not going to be Duncan, but Aldridge is about as good as a successor as you could ask for. I don't think there will be as much pressure on him replacing Duncan because perception will be that it's Leonard's team. And Aldridge doesn't have the type of primadonna personality where that'll be an issue. His mentality fits right with the Spurs. He'll be ok not being "the man" as he's already been the 2nd guy in POR. And that fanbase will embrace him because he's from Texas and played at Texas. It's amazing how it continues to fall for the Spurs.

Duncan might only have a year or two left, but it just so happens that is FA class is loaded with big men. The Spurs have probably been the best franchise in all of sports the past 15 years. And I think it will continue even when Duncan and Ginobili walk. Leonard and Aldridge will be the new building blocks and they'll continue to win. And Parker's still got some good seasons left. Knowing the Spurs, they'll probably find a good replacement for him too when that time comes.

If Aldridge chooses to go to the Spurs it would really suck for everyone else. The Southwest Division is already the best in all pro sports.

Watch Okafor become the superstar and bring Philly back to respectability while Russell and the Lakers continue to be the Pacific division's cellar dweller!:lolabove:

Hate on Lakers all you want. They have been one of the most successful franchises in all sports.

Yeah its it's unlikely they get both but they will get one or the other.

Rumor or also out DeAndre Jordan wants to be a Laker

Love, Jordan, or Aldridge plus a mid tier SF would put LA right back in the thick of things.

I dont think hunk anyone can beat OKC however if they stay healthy, but don't act like the Lakers have a wealth of talent if they end up with one of the 3 big men.

Even after Kobe having Aldridge, Randle, and Russell plus whoever they get next year when Kobe salary is off the hook is going to be eye opening.

I love over the way they drafted and this Nance Jr will be a good bench as well.

The he only reason you're hating is because they are about to do it again.

And ns the only reason Clippers are relevant is bc Cp3 was stolen from the Lakers bc Stern is. Douche

Okafor is big liability on defense. D'Angelo plays both ends. Kids going to be elite and a huge difference day 1. He's a passer, scorer, defender and that's what Kobe has been missing from his PG since Fisher in 00

Give LA a big man like Love or Aldridge to go with Randle Kobe and Russel and no reason they won't compete with the best. Especially with KOBE healthy.

Dont forget who Kobe is

It's hard to forget who Kobe is; a primmadonna, egotistical douche who is a bad teammate along with still thinking he is the best player on the court on any given day. I'm not a betting man but I am certain that as long as Kobe is still running the Lakers that team won't be anywhere near the powerhouse you are making them to be.

Plus he has missed 123 games over the past two seasons, he won't earn anything close to the $25M the Lakers are wasting on him next season.
