It was just a weak attempt to poopoo on the situation because he doesn't really want Mariota. If it was a new story I'd understand. But you can tell, all this Mariota to the Titans stories popping up irks him. It seems like you are more offended that someone still disagrees with your opinion than I. I don't this is all that far fetched. Yep. The only confusion right now would be from the media, not from the team themselves. Whether it's us pushing this narrative to the media or it's just the Media following their own created narrative you never really know. But, if we do take Mariota. The problem is that for joe schmo's like us it's nearly impossible to distinguish between the two and at times even the team officials will lie to you. Seriously, some of these guys are just lying. When they cite their sources...they're really saying I read an article from another guy with sources. I'm pretty sure Wyatt and Mike Keith basically know who the pick is going to be, so paying attention to what they say (which takes some reading between the lines) is important more than any other guys save maybe Schefter. Wyatt and Keith are elusive and speak in general terms but they're not going to straight out lie. Sure, what you said probably takes place but Wyatt and Davis aren't lemmings. Three of the sources believed the Titans would stay at No. 2 and take him there. The other two thought the Titans would trade with Washington, which would take USC's Leonard Williams at No. 2, leaving the Titans to pick Mariota at No. 5—one spot before the quarterback-thirsty Jets. I don't doubt at all that getting a huge haul of draft picks and sticking with Mett + 4 top 50 players is their preference. That doesn't make it the most likely scenario though. I think I remember hearing that a couple days ago they were all in town to finish up. I wonder if some of the most recent news is based out of that. It's possible whoever Wyatt gets info from wasn't in the building until recently, or the Titans simply hadn't made a real decision until recently. Nah I haven't had issue with Whizenberger, Cenj, 520, or anyone today that thinks the Titans are going to pass. I even gave Whisenberger props for sticking to his guns.
