No1TitansFan
24 years in a row for the Wings, also the only team to get in all of the last 10 years; Jimmy Howard's disappearance and the impostor playing in his place probably makes for a short run. freakingeek
What in the hell has happened? I don't know which is pissing me off worse, the appearance of Franson and Santorelli or the disappearance of Wilson and Smith. I'm beginning to think CTF was right and Cody and Santo can't wash off the Leaf stink and now it's rubbing off on other Preds. We don't even look like the same team that played the first half. Poile has to be pulling out his hair. Losing at home to a neutered Minny with the division still up for grabs was beyond disappointing. We can't hold a lead. We can't score in the second period. There is ZERO killer instinct in this bunch. We went from being one of the best in the league to being a lifeless punching bag. We get a power play and my immediate thought is "Oh God I hope they don't score on us." What an embarrassment.
wiscotitansfan
I don't see it happening but you guys better kick the Hawks ass to send the bandwagoners here home. I'm so sick of girls wearing a hockey jersey because it's the cool thing to do and not know a single player and yet talk the most shit at a bar. freakingeek
Ok now that I have my rant out of the way , let's get back to the task at hand. The Preds probably drew the most favorable matchup they could have . The Preds and Hawks both limped into the playoffs. The Preds have to get their confidence level back and start playing physical again. The Hawks will be physical and if they push us around in our own zone things will get ugly fast. Smith and Wilson need to take the puck to the net like they did early in the year. Our defense needs to knock the Hawks off the puck and not turn it over in the neutral zone. Get down and dirty on the half wall in our zone. Give Rinne some help. Forsberg and Neal need to be aggressive. Above all else , outwork Chicago . If they don't it will be a short series. It's STILL "the Predator Way."
CMJ
Oh I see Charrdwood is back in his role as a "longtime" Rangers fan.
IsntLifeFunny
Damn what a heartbreaker. There goes the season. I can't see any way the team can rally after getting beat in such a brutal fashion after losing their last 6, now 7, games.
volntitan
Typical. Get a big lead and then squander it away. They're done.
freakingeek
I was at the game last night. It was a helluva game. We dominated the first period. In the 2nd period penalties absolutely killed our momentum and gave the Hawks some energy. They scored 2 of their goals on a 5 on 3 and on a power play. We have to stay out of the penalty box. We dominated the 3rd period but couldn't get it past the goalie. We had tons of chances. Both teams played well in overtime. Good defense, fast offense and good goal tending. We're down one game but there's no time for the Preds to hang their heads. There's a game Friday night. We'll be back.
Mercalius
Weber went out of the game and the Predators responded like angry Lions. Huge win.

freakingeek
Weber went out of the game and the Predators responded like angry Lions. Huge win. Last night's game gave the Preds some momentum going up to Chicago. It also gave them the formula that it will take to beat the Hawks. There was no regression of effort in the 2nd period, penalty kill was strong and Wilson and Smith are scoring again. There is no doubt in my mind that this series is going to be a dogfight from beginning to end. Fantastic atmosphere at the Arena last night. Best crowd of the season. Keep on slugging, Preds! freakingeek
The effort was there today. We had more shots on goal, more hits, more face offs won but unfortunately came out on the short end of the only stat that matters. The score. There's no doubt we're missing Weber and Fish. Guest
Maybe Poile will have the balls to deal Jones at the draft for some frontline scoring. Anyone who doesn;t think a game breaker like Phil Kessel wouldn't totally change the complexion of this series is whistling through the trees. He was there for the taking but Poile per usual went with the B level deals with Santo and Franson.
freakingeek
With Weber out and his return uncertain, the Franson deal is looking pretty good right now and Jones is getting Weber's minutes. I don't deny that a front line scorer would immediately boost their odds of moving past the 1st round.
volntitan
Without Weber and Fisher, not sure they win another game.
