Guest
This is a different Caps team though! I thought the Rangers probably had the best line up in the east going into the playoffs but this is all about one game though and it's awful tough to win 3 in a row. Should be a great game! I want to believe that but Backstrom hasn't had a point since game 1 and Ovi since game 2 even though he's playing really well. The Rangers are winning along the boards and getting open looks in the crease. I think they've worn down the Caps defense and it's led to great scoring chances over the past 2 games. They are also terrified of Kreider right now and they should be. He's been lights out. You never know what can happen in a game 7 but I'm not hopeful. Lundqvist. 5-1, 1.00 GAA, .965 S%, 1 shutout in Game 7's overall. 5-0 at MSG Caps have choked these series leads away, and have never won a series after leading 3-1 1985 (2-0) 1986 (3-1) 1987 (3-1) 1992 (2-0, 3-1) 1995 (3-1) 1996 (2-0) 2003 (2-0) 2009 (2-0) 2010 (3-1) 2013 (2-0) I'm going to go out on a limb and guess what happens tomorrow night. I should probably just start drinking now. 2015 (3-1)
wiscotitansfan
The biggest difference since the Rangers turnaround has been face offs in my opinion. The past 2 or 3 seasons we have been dreadful at them but will go on stretches where we are essentially even for a few games.
freakingeek
Damn, I'm an old Ranger fan from my days living in north jersey in the 60s and I'm pulling for the Caps for Trotz's sake. What's a hockey fan to do? I'll go out on a limb here and say the Caps buck tradition and exorcise their playoff demons.
oldschool
No one should have to be an Oilers/Titans fan and a Caps fan. Caps history strikes again. Fuck you Mike Green and the dumb ass penalties you rode in on.

Guest
CTF... Gone all quiet on the Rangers this year. Scared they're going to turn over one of your vicarious Western Conference teams you follow to cheat on your pathetic Leafs? Or are you gonna become all about the Eastern Conference this season by adopting the Canadiens? Who will also be defeated by the Rags? Last night was not an outlier. Prepare thy self. Good tidings. It's that time of year again folks! Rangers eliminated again. Let's check back in again this time next year to see Charrd Wood brag about their impending cup championship only to fail miserably. I only do this to teach him a lesson he never learrns. I take no joy in his humiliation. I'm not the petty sort.
Guest
Charred Wood left the building along with the Rangers.
CharrdWood
Yep, supporting your team sucks. Especially when they play shit when the money's on the line. Ever have that experience? Wish I could be like combo Leafs/Canadiens fans and just assume disappointment. Shit, man, I never even made a comment about the Rangers in the playoffs other than to say that the series against the Caps was nerve-wracking. Can't wait to hear your wisdom after "your" team has won the Stanley Cup clinching game. BTW...since no one else will ask, I will. How on Earth does an "honest-to-god Canadian" start out supporting the Canadiens and transform into a Leafs fan? Or have I got that backwards? Either way...
