What about having one of those drafts that lasts a few days instead of trying to pin down everyone at the same time one day? I know my regular 12 team drafts take about 4-6 hours to draft 16 man rosters. Drafting a 30 man roster or whatever we are doing will take a long time. Cyrus Posted July 18, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 18, 2014 Roster should be about 19 players. 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 10 Bench. The 4 IR spots are not draftable positions obviously. An email draft really isn't that feasible as we will be doing an auction format the first time around. Most fair way for starting a dynasty. Everyone should have access to the players they want. After this year we will be doing a reverse standing order, non-snaking draft for rookies and free agents. abenjami Posted July 25, 2014 Report Share Posted July 25, 2014 What are we looking at for potential draft dates? I am thinking it would make sense to do the draft on a weeknight. There are some people in different time zones here. Trying to do a draft on a Saturday or Sunday across different time zones will undoubtedly interfere with a few owners' social schedules and other fantasy drafts (mine included). We could start the draft at around 3 or 4 PST. That way the east coasters would already be off work, etc. and would be starting early enough that they wouldn't have to stay up until 3 am to finish. For us west coasters, it would only mean having to leave work (or whatever you do) an hour or so early. Thoughts? I'm sure some west coasters could draft while at work, but I don't think that's an ideal situation. I'm less concerned with people's social schedule than I am their family vacations and work schedules. Once we get the last person in we will start polling some tentative dates. I didn't mean we should schedule the draft around someone's desire to go to a bar and get hammered. @CMJ do you have your TBell shift schedule yet for August?
