OILERMAN
I believe there are two separate issues at play after the first 3 rounds of the draft..... Now that two players have been drafted it seems some people are waking up to the fact this team is at the bottom and starting over. It's like this wasn't apparent until the first part of the draft occurred and some of y'all thought with a good draft the Titans might do something this season. I got news for you, the Titans could have drafted any two players the last few days and this roster would still be pretty bare. This is going to be a 2-3 year rebuild unless Locker does something he hasn't come close to doing yet, something the new regime obviously doesn't think he can do. Tommy Smith tried to keep Munchak with a raise and Webster has been a bad GM thus far in my opinion. There is no reason to give the Titans the benefit of the doubt and anyone blasting them are certainly entitled to do so. Having said all of that I think they are doing the right thing so far this off season. Just because you only have a healthy Whitehurst at QB doesn't mean you can magically find a franchise QB. Obviously the Titans and everyone else questioned whether Bridgewater was the answer and Bortles was gone already. There were no pass rushers available at 11. Just pretend it's 1995 and you're a Jag fan and we just drafted Tony Boselli, because that's where we are at. Oh Except we have no Mark Brunell. japan
I agree with his. I was shocked to see some respected names on here freaking out like this team wasn't in rebuilding mode. This is what happens when you draft a poisonous POS like VY with the 3rd overall pick, then spend 3 years with a coaching staff just learning the ropes. Disastrous. headhunter
Lets all hope Jake puts it together now, honestly I just want the guy to be healthy and stay that way. I hope Jake is the still the Jake from the Jets game before the injury. Our run game should be improved with CJ gone alone, now we have a guy that can fill the David Stewart void for a year and a RB that gives 100% effort on all 3 downs. I still think we can easily be 8-8 this season without looking at the schedule. I think we'll be competitive and not a bottom dweller team.
OILERMAN
I still think we can easily be 8-8 this season without looking at the schedule. I think we'll be competitive and not a bottom dweller team. Any team in the league can be 8-8 any year. It's how the league is designed. Something like 85% of all games are 7 points or closer. The Texans set the record last season for the most losses of 3 points or less in one season and finished 2-14. Rather than projecting the record I think a better gauge is can this team contend for the SB. Absolutely not right now. Those are the two categories we should be looking at. The Lewan pick made perfect sense & I'm happy about it. Here's my one beef...there's no doubt the team loved Derek Carr, it was rumored they thought about him at 11 & he was their target at 26 if they traded down. Now, maybe none of that was true & it was all BS but if it was true than how can Webster sit there when the guy gets within 5 picks & not move up to get him? If you're in a total rebuild what sense does picking a back that had 600 carries the last 2 years over a QB that you love make? If you're correct about the rebuild by the time the team is even good again he'll have 2 more seasons of 300 or so carries.
AFCman
In my opinion, we've been in rebuild mode since before Fisher and VY left. Bud gave us VY and Munch and this is the result. Imagine if Bud were still alive..... With the exception of Locker, we are completely starting over. And if Locker doesn't work out, then we'll be looking at a 2-3 year process. It is what it is. NoD
We are going to have a RB by committee approach this year with Mccluster, Green, and Sankey. He probably gets 150 or so touches i think this year at most.
dannynj
Can't say I'm mad at all. First round they went BPA and second, traded back, picked up another pick and went with a solid, talented RB filling a need. They have veterans at pretty much every spot with starting experience and aside from Sankey, no rookies at this point would see any significant playing time where they are counted on and can develop
Bobo
I'm pissed because our GM is picking the wrong line to bolster and he doesn't seem to get fair value for draft trades. His work in free agency doesn't win back any confidence either.

Face
I haven't looked at the trade chart or anything but I have to think a 4th was fair value. We gave up next years 3rd to move up 9 spots last year so a 4th this year is about right. Even if it wasn't quite fair value I think at that point Webster had decided they were taking a RB once Carr went so you can either be stubborn or you can take an extra 4th & still get the guy you wanted. headhunter
With this coaching staff we'll recover quickly. Not being a homer but this is the best coaching staff we couldve asked for, players should be developed better from here on out. We've had Norm Chow, Chris Palmer, and Dowell Loggains as our OCs and even worse we had Chuck Cecil and Jerry gray as our defensive coordinators. Ill take Whisenhunt and Horton over a lot of coaches in the NFL.

AJ MaCarron. Was Carr worth what they would have to give up more than him? I agree with @OILERMAN about the rebuild, but I think it could come together quick. If Hunter develops and they get a pass rusher in the first in 2015, they could get a QB like NOD to come in and challenge. Assuming the line jells and the LBs develop. code
With all due respect to the OP, the reason MOST fans are pissed is because the Titans haven't attempted to replace the QB position in the draft. Just that simple. The fan base on this site wants another change at QB. Period the end.
