MamlngEnvy
Cousins's problems seem correctable. Reading some reports on him, he has had a Jekyll-Hyde type first and second half of games. It is mainly to do with pressure. Against pressure, as with any young QB, he struggles with rushes his throws, has bad footwork as he hurry ups and throws off balance when he moves away from the pressure. For example: http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/11250/under-review-kirk-cousins (I sidenote: Gruden critcizes Cousins for throwing sooner than he should, instead oftrusting the line to do its job - Mettenberger does that stepping up into the pocket letting the line do its job till the end.) That type of stuff is correctable, and Cousins has the basics: good arm, accurate, etc. He has some very good passing games. If a team takes time developing him, he would probably make a good QB. The same cannot be said for Locker. Locker does not have the talent and basic fundamentals to become a good passer. Yet he has been given almost four years. Based on how good Cousins has looked here and there, and with him having good passing skills, his ceiling still looks good if a team really targets him for development. Cousins been in the league for what? 1 less year than locker...and with all Jakes injuries I'd bet cousins has had plenty more practice time/reps. But cousins could still be targetted for "development".... Really so in four five years cousins might be what?? Brian hoyer?? OK....dumb.
StephenIsLegend
I'd go after Colt McCoy might have to give up the entire draft to get him. Awesome. Another candidate to add to the ignore list!

IowaOiler
Apparently I have an 'obsession' with every poster who I call bullshit on. @oldschool...you were fucking wrong. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if you didn't come off like such an arrogant prick, incapable of admitting when he fucked-up. If fans were calling for McNabb last week (@Bink), then how can someone so 'knowledgeable' of the Redskins plans (i.e. YOU) say they didn't have a plan to bench Cousins? Just stop digging, and be done with it. On another note, what is the infatuation with the ignore feature? Are people so afraid of descent, that they only want to listen to those that agree with them? It's one thing if someone is allergic to facts and simply name-calls (@Soxcat), but if there was a single poster on this board whose opinion was legitimately infallible, they wouldn't be posting on this message board. Guest
Reading comprehension isn't your friend Iowa. If I'm wrong then dig up the articles, links, tweets, etc... I already explained where the bullshit story came from. It's not related to what transpired on Sunday. I got a ton of texts from people that follow the skins like we do the Titans and everyone of them was shocked. If you understood the Sports media in this town you'd know that is unheard of. Guest
The fans in DC are as reactionary as it gets. Many were totally done with RGIII and had anointed Cousins a savior after the Philly loss (a moral victory). Others clung to and defended RGIII. Then the wheels fell off Cousins and they turned to Colt McCoy and, yes, one guy calling into a radio show even called for McNabb. The RGIIIers never left. The team itself never let on about a formal plan to move to McCoy as far as I heard, and I bet it was prompted by the chanting at the game. That doesn't change the fact that Cousins never passed the eye test and has always sucked. The original premise of this thread (calling for Shanahan and Cousins) is absurd. Are there really RG3 supporters in college park? There are only a few in Fairfax. I'm not talking about the guys that flipped between Griffin and Cousins either. I'm referring to ones that stood by him the whole time.
Guest
This is what I would want Titans to do that is realistic: Kyle Shanahan - head coach (probably would not cost much and would come to Tennessee for head coach shot. He is very experienced for his age, and is from a good offensive scheme, so you get the high upside of youth grounded with good NFL experience for his age.) Kubiak for coordinator. Assuming his health is okay, I think he would work for Kyle. It would be a perfect situation for him to be coordinator for two years, while they groom a replacement coordinator and then try for head coaching spot after that. Gregg WIlliams for coordinator. With his bounty history, I doubt any team will be interested in him as head coach any time soon, and Kyle Shanahan would likely leave the defense completely to him, so it would be best non-head coaching spot he could get, so I could see him doing it. Listening to The Junkies, Chad Dukes or Grant and Danny and it is really clear that a bunch of people still believe he is the answer. Most people also have turned hard on Cousins. I think it is more about being tantalized by the talent.
OILERMAN
LOL @ the dullards in this thread slamming Shanahan and even Cousins. Y'all didn't have a clue. Kyle Shanahan is the best offensive mind in the league and Kirk Cousins is a pretty solid QB at worst. @TennesseeTuxedo would you still rather have Locker over Cousins?! What are you a Trump supporter or something?

OzTitan
The funny thing is if Trump was a poster on TR, he'd probably bump a thread from 2013 and call people dullards and fat asses.
oldschool
Lol the cousin benching scandal! Morons. He just had two back to back very good seasons and will now get paid. I tried to tell dumb and dumber cousins wasn't being benched outside of that game. As for Shanny JR, great coordinator but I suspect he'll fail as a HC due to personality.
