wiscotitansfan
I think this is easy and have said it for years... Manning will go down as the greatest QB to ever play football even if he finishes with only 1 Superbowl
scine09
ESPN did a poll and more than 100,000 people voted. Whatever the results are here (I assume it will be heavily weighed in Brady's favor since this is a Titans board and most people hate Manning) would pale in comparison to a poll of over 100,000 people. scine09
If Manning had never won a Super Bowl I'd still think he was the greatest ever. I think Marino is the 2nd best ever and he's never won.
TeamRamrod
Brady for this guy if I had to choose who I would want on my team. I think Brady is better but I don't think he'll be known as being the better of the 2.
wiscotitansfan
I know ESPN did a poll of a much higher sample, I am just curious because our other thread and Iowa claims there is truly only one option. Just curious, obviously ESPN's is more valid on what the population in general perceive.

I know it's common place that people hate Manning because he was a rival of the Titans for years and then spurned the Titans in 2012. You can throw any # of Super Bowl arguments at me that you want, it means squat. Unless of course you think that Eli Manning is better than Dan Marino was. Not surprising that you are still missing the point. Let me break it down for you again. Peyton Manning is the greatest QB ever to play when you look at him in a vacuum. However there are a multitude of other QBs that have had more playoff success which is why I stated I would not take him for a game in that scenario. Would you take Trent Dilfer over Manning in a big game? How about Mark Rypien or Jim Plunkett?
NashvilleNinja
Hmm... Brady or Manning. Tsk... hard choice. Imma have to go with Joe Montana on this one, Bob.

Number9
Hmm... Brady or Manning. Tsk... hard choice. Imma have to go with Joe Montana on this one, Bob. everybody always thinks the greatest of all time plays while they are watching. Kind of like the people who are sure the world will end during their lifetime.
scine09
You know how you know that Manning has had a better career than Manning? @NFLStudent voted for Brady.
wiscotitansfan
In terms of pure QBing as in throwing the ball I don't see too many arguments against Peyton being the best of all-time. I completely understand there are many more factors that go into a QB and who would be the best to build a franchise around but that's just my opinion.... obviously
Aramis
Tough decision, but I opted for Manning. I despise the guy for the torture he dealt us over the years, but he's pretty damn good. Not to mention the guy is able to get results out of no name receivers and will probably finish as the best QB ever. All Brady can do is get told to go fuck himself by his own receivers not named Randy Moss or Wes Welker. Not to mention Brady has become a major pre-madonna who thinks the refs should give him his way all the time. The Cheatriots and Brady can go stuff it. So ready for that franchise to face some adversity and crumble. The day Belicheck and Brady hang it up will be a damn good day. EDIT: Also looking forward to the day we can return those 59 unanswered points they hung on us.
scine09
Don't be an idiot, it's beneath you. Using your logic, Dilfer would obviously be the choice over Manning since you're using Super Bowls and playoff success as your parometer. Joe Flacco or Peyton Manning? Flacco is 9-4 in the playoffs.
