Joe Flacco or Peyton Manning? Flacco is 9-4 in the playoffs. No I didn't make a statement that all QBs with more playoff success are better than Manning. 11 games is enough of a sample size to suggest Eli is more reliable in the playoffs. Well Flacco has 13. Would you take Flacco over Manning in the playoffs? And 11 is a very small sample size. You need to get to 30 to even have a remote sample size but that's neiter here nor there. Is there a single QB in NFL history with 30 playoff starts? if Flacco had a 2nd Superbowl run like the one last year then yes, I would have to think about taking him over Peyton for a playoff game. It's not like he hasn't proven he can play under pressure. He does have some of the greatest statistical games in the playoffs in the history of the league and he also authored one of the greatest 2nd half comebacks in playoff history. If he was 0 for 20 and never played a good game in the playoffs that would be one thing. But that's just not the case. He's proven on more than 1 occasion that he can play in big spots in the playoffs. On that subject, when is the last time that Tom Brady played well in a close game in the playoffs? It disproves your point so you try and discount it. Ask the players and coaches what's important. Playoff wins or stats and see what kind of answer you get. And one more thing, player stats like passing yds, TDs, etc. are also a reflection of the entire team, not just the individual player. If you think Brady was the reason or even a big reason why NE won those 3 Super Bowls you weren't paying attention. I've been making the same argument for years. I don't really care whether you agree with me or believe me or not. But when someone makes a comment that #1 doesn't make sense and #2 I feel is completely outlandish I will comment on it.
