He could afford to gamble in NO because of how prolific the offense was. That won't be the case here. I remember when the Saints played the Skins while Williams was there. They isolated Landry in coverage and completely abused him. That is exactly what teams tried to do with Pollard last year and its what any sane OC will do this year. I also don't see how the Titans can role coverage to one side and leave McCourty exposed. He is not going to be able to hold up unless the pass rush is dynamic.

It will be interesting to see how teams attack the Titans Nickel with Pollard at LB and Ayers at DE. I'd run out of 3 WR sets all day until those guys prove they can hold up.

It is you who lacks context. Walker is a prototypical 2nd string TE. I like him, you need guys like that on your team. but let's not kid ourselves on what he is.

Walker was not signed to replace Cook. He was signed because he's a better all around player who will a much larger factor in the run game. His receiving skills are secondary. Fans who are expecting him to break out as one of the better TE's in the league are just setting themselves up.

Right... Walker can't be covered by LBs. He's a 2nd string TE known for his blocking. There is a reason for that.

It's obvious. He doesn't plant his foot and go into his break. Then he makes it worse by rounding off the route. Its that type of route running that makes Cook a one trick pony. The Safety did't even try and cover him and basically gave up the outside. It was also a bad throw as locker didn't lead him. Then again when you are throwing to guys who round offroutes and don't get in and out of their breaks on time its hard to get the timing down.

You are so far off it's not even remotely funny. Organizations do not pay a king's ransom or mortgage their futures to find a QB because they are only as good as the team around them. A good QB can elevate a roster and mask team deficiencies like no other position in sports. That is why they are coveted to the degree they are.

This is what Martin does with his characters. Jamal is right about Snow as well. He was my favorite character other than Tyrion in the books and he hasn't translated to the screen at all.

Fair point but you have to throw out the numbers that Griffin put up due to their offense. You could argue the same for Wilson and Kaepernick since they had ridiculous run games and even better defenses. I would add that it should be about where Locker needs to get to and not just where the 1st and 2nd year starters are in relation to him.
