You are missing the point. We all agree the Dorne arc was drawn out in the books. The point is that D&D made Doran look like the antithesis of how GRRM wrote him and instead propped up the Sand Snakes and their useless mother. If you were going to make Doran out to be the blind fool he ended up being then why waste a season on him in the first place.

If it was so cut and dry regarding Stannis, why did they make the conscious decision to not show it? It goes against everything the show is about. D&D are total fuck ups though so it's not beyond the realm of possibility they didn't show it just to mess with people.

You are probably right but if her magic can make her looks 60 years younger it stands to reason it could also alter her height to make her fit in. Anyway it was just a thought after watching the episode; It's not based on anything else.

My first thought after the episode is that she may be one of the children which would explain her age. They are diametrically opposed to the white walkers so it makes sense.

I don't think you can blame this on the show as GM also killed off Snow in the books and hasn't returned to the story arc although it's widely considered gospel that Snow has a huge part to play in the rest of the series. As for HBO, the show creators got off script and they like it that way. The first 4 seasons were great. Last year was weak. I don't have any confidence season 6 won't be a continuation of season 5 in quality.

I'm telling you GRRM is going to give the show creators a big fuck you on the ending.

Have you considered doing POV rereads? I haven't done one yet but was thinking of starting with Dany or Jon.

If Jon is revived he's done with the Watch in my opinion. At that point I expect he'll turn his attention to Winterfell. The only problem with that development is how can he abandon the fight at the wall with what he knows about the Night's King and the Walkers?

​Believe it when I see it. it's pretty much accepted that Jon is one of the hero's of the tale and that R+L=J. If he's truly dead then GRRM fooled everyone. I don't buy it.

You forgot to mention the love fest for Rambo err Ramsey. While the actor is good the character had gotten an absurd amount of screen time.

Wtf are you talking about? You have no idea if he was mortally wounded or not. Also comparing him to Florio is laughable. I promise you Stannis didn't die in that scene.
