  1. Tre Harris was on his way to producing ridiculous numbers before his injury. But apparently he has really high character. Aside from injury, my biggest aversion to Harris has been chasing that AJ Brown to Treylon Burks WR that runs around 4.5-4.55 and not wanting to face another failure in trying to find the next AJ Brown again. It’s exhausting. Other than that, I’m somewhat intrigued. Could he be Borgonzi’s Rashee Rice with better character? That’s the question that I have around Tre Harris.
  2. You guys talking about Jalen Milroe (Joe Milton)?
  3. Or he could be one they like and just have no questions about. But I would project that more to Jalin Noel if I had to guess.
  4. I took Egbuka at 35 because I didn’t like the trade-downs, and then Ayomanor was there. He was rated higher than Ferguson, but when 120 came around, he was still there. Ended up punting EDGE until the end, but Roberts plays EDGE and 5-tech, and Ponder is great at the FCS level. So I got two Elijahs, two California defensive players, and two WRs b2b.
  5. Glad they released him ahead of the draft.
  6. I agree, but only under 2 likely conditions: 1) Less likely: Colston Loveland falls to 35 and they have him ranked very high. 2) More likely: They draft Terrance Ferguson at 103 if he’s still available.. Any other TE such as Jackson Hawes or Thomas Fidone II doesn’t preclude them from drafting two WRs first, I don’t think.
  7. I think a big catch radius helps to get open above the defender. But I also put stock in his catch reliability. It’s in the 99th percentile of this class. I put stock in reliability over flashy. Build a trustworthy foundation first. Who cares if it’s boring? I want the chains to move consistently. Higgins was 50% more productive than Burden, for example. There’s several high risk/reward players later. There’s buzz that Higgins goes late first.
  8. #12 Ashton Gillotte Louisville (mid 3rd) probably best power rusher in this class. 70 OVR #11 Princely Umanmielen Ole Miss (early 3rd) aggressively 1-dimensional pass rusher so far. 63 OVR #10 Oluwafemi Oladejo UCLA (early 3rd) long arms, almost 34”, good run game tape, but still raw rushing the passer. Still 21. 60 OVR #9 Jordan Burch Oregon (early 3rd) Third best power rusher in the class. Only 2 missed tackles over last 2 seasons. But only 5% run stop percentage. But can set a sturdy edge. 55 OVR #8 Donovan Ezeiruaku Boston College (mid 2nd) led Power 4 in sacks and run stops. 34 1/2” arms . Best bend in edge class and most precise cross chop. Hated ranking him this low. But has dangerous combo of weaknesses. Pure speed rusher. Can’t win with power. Not very explosive. 37 OVR #7 Bradyn Swinson LSU (mid 2nd) Led SEC with 60 pressures 32 OVR #6 James Pearce Tennessee (early 2nd) Weird combo of strengths and weaknesses. Doesn’t play how you’d expect in any phase. 25 OVR #5 Jalon Walker Georgia (early 2nd) 20 OVR #4 Shemar Stewart Texas A&M (early 2nd) 39 pressures in ‘24 18 OVR #3 Myles Williams Georgia (late 1st) 16 OVR Significantly worse athlete vs Shemar Stewart, significantly better pass rusher with a lot of room to develop. #2 Mike Green Marshall (late 1st) 2nd best pass rusher in the class. Checks every box except size. 15 OVR #1 Abdul Carter Penn St (early 1st, Top 5) 2 OVR
  9. Some of Foster’s ranks for the curious: Edge rank: #13 David Walker (mid 3rd) 74 OVR #14 Nic Scourton Texas A&M (mid 3rd) 75 OVR #15 Landon Jackson Arkansas (mid 3rd) Foster’s least favorite tape due to Arkansas’ defense; said a lot of stuff won’t translate, played 4i a lot 76 OVR #16 Josiah Stewart Michigan (mid 3rd) 81 OVR #17 JT Tuimoloau Ohio St (late 3rd) 88 OVR #18 Elijah Roberts SMU (early 4th) heaviest Edge player in the class (highest rating for hang usage and counters, probably moves to interior) 116 OVR #19: Sai’vion Jones LSU (mid 4th) 127 OVR #20: Jack Sawyer Ohio St (late 4th) 143 #21: Jared Ivey Ole Miss (late 4th; Denico Autry comp) 145 OVR #22: Kyle Kennard Ole Miss (late 4th) 152 OVR #23: Kaimon Rucker North Carolina (mid 5th) 176 OVR #24: Barryn Sorrell Texas (late 5th) 191 OVR
  10. I don’t know why more people who want Tee Higgins don’t want Jayden Higgins. I always thought Jayden Higgins makes sense if they’re trying to duplicate elements of the Bengals corps, and that’s easier to get than Ja’marr Chase. And cheaper, healthier, and you don’t have to trade for him. Just sayin’.
  11. Fixed it for you. Whomever they add has to be proven and reliable, not to mention, better than Van Jefferson, IMO. Otherwise you’re likely just clogging the depth with more waste, as in, they’re not going to be consistently productive for you.
  12. I mean beside also wanting them to draft Kyle Williams, and in my brain being a little wary of missing him in a trade down, or maybe even in a couple of trades down, I think if Cam and Holz said we need this guy, maybe Callahan, Borgonzi etc. align. But I think behind all of that has to be a grade that justifies 35 to begin with. We just don’t know what their big board looks like. But being able to beat press man coverage better than the rest of the WR class while having instant chemistry with Ward has to have some undetermined value. The other thing about Williams to me is they say he can play XYZ, as opposed to Egbuka and Burden, who will primarily be slot receivers. We’ll see, but on tape and paper KW is more versatile. That helps with flexibility addressing the position afterward, draft or FA.
  13. I agree about tracking the ball. Many don’t do it well. I also saw — maybe in the Check the Mic podcast — that Williams has more 20+ mph plays last year than any other player in the draft. Your list shows just how proactive the Chiefs have been trying to keep their receiving corps stocked well, and how difficult it is. Of all the WRs we seem to like that line up with the types listed above, the one that worries me is Rashee Rice. I’m a little worried that type is Tre Harris, and to a lesser degree Elic Ayomanor. Just because it’s never been discussed. You have to wonder if they don’t bring them in, do they like them because they don’t have further questions about them.
  14. I mock Zach Frazier and Nohl Williams frequently. I’m not sure if they try to move Roger McCreary after the year hoping to get a footer 4th conditional, or re-sign him. Also, we don’t know how soon they plan to move off Sneed. Either way, CB probably has to be addressed in this draft on day 3. We could lose two starters as early as next year, and there’s been some mention of Brownlee being able to play nickel.
  15. Looking at the 30 Visits, the only guys I seriously consider at 35 are Donovan Jackson, Darius Alexander, Kyle Williams and please-don’t-take-him Luther Burden III. And yes, I think someone is going to take “the best separator in the draft” (Kyle Williams) earlier than current consensus. Some podcaster (Tic-Tac?) pointed out that Cam Ward’s deep downfield passing numbers were much better with Kyle Williams than when he was at Miami.
  16. I thought they are looking at Cam Jackson as a longer-term backup for Sweat. I don’t really want them to spend a pick on him but I feel like they’re gonna anyway.
  17. I thought similarly about Sweat as a 2nd rounder early last year, then his stock fell due to the DUI. I feel like the inferior defensive line would be potentially dominant with Alexander added. FWIW, I believe the PFF big board ranks him at 35. It would be weird to go IDL B2B but maybe they think a dominant interior can help mitigate mediocre edge rushers. He’s a dude. I’d be surprised if he gets out of the 2nd round. He’s got a Darius Robinson (Missouri) type rise from last year going on. Not my preference at 35, but I would probably rather have him than Femi Oladejo at 35. It could also be that they like Alexander more than some of the Edge players in that territory beyond a certain point.
  18. Restrepo is Cam’s go-to guy when plays break down and the field becomes a zone. He runs to the free spot Cam can reach. Really crafty at coming open at the right time. I’d be happy with him as an option in the 4th. I also like he put up over 1,000 yards with two different QBs.
  19. I’m wondering if it isn’t more about actually trading up into day 3. Maybe 4.57 40s drag Kaleb Johnson or a Xavier Watts into round 3 striking distance. Same with Bond and Oladejo. Perhaps with Kyle Williams, but who knows. Some experts have him significantly higher than consensus. Have to imagine an alternative if they can’t trade down from 35. I have to believe there’s a crop of guys they will gladly take at 35 if they’re there. Guys like Egbuka, maybe Burden (hopefully they vet him well at the 30 visit), Ezeiruaku, or a guy like Malaki Starks (or Emmanwori), definitely interested in Donovan Jackson, based on the 30 visit, and as meh as it sounds, based on their interest at the Combine as well as his insane workout and freakish measurements, a guy like Landon Jackson probably makes more sense than Oluwafemi Oladejo at 35. I can justify bridging the gap of the relative value spot for Landon Jackson by considering his workout. It was that good, IMO. I just can’t see them trading up for Burden, though his big play ability could take some pressure off a young QB. But given the boom-bust nature, I wouldn’t trade up. I would wait and see. If there’s any fire behind that trade up for a WR rumor smoke, I’d put more stock into it being for Matthew Golden if he was there late in the first. And I don’t really envision that.
