  1. I think AAS wants to win but you can criticize her for rash and impulsiveness it seems like based on swinging from an extension to an in-season firing in the span of 10 months.
  2. Context is king IMO. This is all true, but I've been saying all along that we're doing this in the worse division in the NFL. This is not "good to great." Vrabel obviously has not been happy with the personnel moves and AAS picked Vrabel over JRob.
  3. Brilliant foreshadowing. The writers have outdone themselves with this season!
  4. I think this is about the failure to go from "good to great" tbh. The team has stagnated at good. JRob's all in moves all failed and he has had critical failures in areas that are supposed to be foundational to the team (OL). It's still a shock, especially midseason. Vrabel won the power struggle here like JRob won it over Mularkey. The expectations are high here, you can't say they're not swinging for the fences. You have to wonder (and maybe worry?) if Vrabel gets more control over the GM level decisions. That doesn't always work out...
  5. I double checked the account and still couldn't believe it. I thought there was a non-zero chance Rapoport was hacked.
  6. This is his real account. Unless it's been hacked
  7. The tweets that Taibbi posted Biden campaign asked to be removed were all nude pics of Hunter. Taibbi never posted that they asked to censor anything about Ukraine or even the story generally. If you're claiming first amendment violations, it would matter if it was the actual government or not. Still, not sure that the Trump WH pointing out tweets that violate Twitters TOS is a 1A violation, but the point is the hypocrisy of complaining about the Biden campaign doing it and ignoring the Trump admin doing it.
  8. If you think things have been bad, they're going to get a lot worse!
  9. Can you explain how the Biden campaign flagging Hunter's dick pics on Twitter is a violation of the first amendment?
  10. What are your thoughts on the Trump White House doing the same thing the Biden campaign did?
  11. I don’t think he will actually *run* but I think he will basically campaign against the Republican
  12. For a lot of Republicans it’s all about power and being able to pass their policies. This is why they’ll try to defeat Trump in the primary but fall in line if he is the nominee again. He gives them a poor chance to win but if he’s their only ticket they’ll back it.
  13. It’s an idiom. I am explaining that is how people felt even if I disagreed.
  14. Trump will be reinstated on Twitter so we’ll be seeing a lot more very stupid content soon
  15. I agree. I thought he was a monster in 2015 and 2016. I was a Hillary supporter, so obviously there's some bias there, but it seemed obvious that Hillary was definitely the lesser evil even if you weren't one. I guess I understand the mechanics of how it happened though. He won in the 2016 primaries with pluralities because of the fractured primary field and winner take all primaries. It's not like most of their voters loved him. Then all it took was an opponent who was literally the next most unpopular candidate of all time for him to squeak out a victory. Partisans and independents alike were willing to accept uncertainty of Trump over the devil they knew. I think it's worth noting that once Trump had a track record, he's caused massive Republican underperformance in 2018, 2020, and 2022. Once it was put on record how bad of a man he actually is, enough have realized it and vote accordingly.
  16. For the most part, the only people still openly supporting him are people I would call the true Trump believers. There's still a plurality of Republican voters who love Trump. The rest would love to be rid of him, but will tolerate him if need be. What you've explained is why you see so many Republicans trying to pump up DeSantis. They know Trump and Trumpy candidates are losers in general elections. They'll try to oppose Trump to prevent him from being the nominee, but if he's the guy they'll support him because they still view the alternative, Democrats, as worse.
  17. Unfortunately I don't expect Twitter to actually die. The most important part of Twitter is the user base, not the employees. There's no special sauce in the code base. It will take time, but he can find other engineers to run the site. Unless the users all leave the site will continue until it goes bankrupt.
  18. One reason I would personally be less hyped about the the national prospects of Whitmer or Shapiro is that we know they were beneficiaries of running against terrible candidates. Charlie Crist might be a bad candidate, but Whitmer and Shapiro's opponents ran well behind the general Republican votes in their states. I'd also pump the breaks a bit on DeSantis hype myself because I think success with Florida demographics doesn't necessarily carry over nationally.
