big2033
According to his twitter: @JayGlazer: One of best lineman I've ever seen play Steve Hutchinson just texted me that he's retiring tomorrow. Big congrats to him on a great career
Stranger
Could be a good sign that Levitre is signing with the Titans, that or we'll be drafting OL early.
Mercalius
All the signs are pointing to Levitre becoming a Titan. Wyatt's comments, cutting the shitty depth, and now this. Good times
dannynj
Glazer tweeting Hutch text him he will be retiring tomorrow. Was waiting to see how knee felt.

nine
Congrats to Hutch. It's unfortunate that his stellar career ended in such an inauspicious manner.....but he was a great, great player for a long, long time. First-ballot HOF'er. Best of luck to him in his post-retirement endeavors.
headhunter
With this news id be totally shocked if we didnt sign Levitre.
Cyrus
Best of luck to Hutch on his post football endeavors.... However, it clears up 3.75M of cap space--- now to release Amano (1.87M), Babineaux (1.6M), Hawkins (1.22M), and Hasselbeck (5.5M)...(10.19M) more....jmo $2.25M actually since his prorated bonus gets moved up ($3M). Bummer it didn't work out though. Keep in mind too, he suffered a mechanical injury which could have happened to anyone, young or old.
Guest
$2.25M actually since his prorated bonus gets moved up ($3M). Bummer it didn't work out though. Keep in mind too, he suffered a mechanical injury which could have happened to anyone, young or old. Steve Hutchinson has a 6.75 million dollar cap hit before retirement/release. Only 3 million of that is dead money (1.5 mil SB proration in 2013, 1.5 mil. SB proration in 2014). The 500,00 roster bonus won't count against the cap, as it was due tomorrow at the start of the league year and hasn't been paid obviously. Unless my math is wrong, that's 3.75 mil. in savings. I think Terry McCormick got the number wrong in his most recent tweet as well.
