TitansWycheck89 Posted August 2, 2012 Report Share Posted August 2, 2012 Everyone thinks that this QB will be won and the field and it won't. Practice is only part of deciding who will start. What happens in the locker room and the film room will also determine who will start. If you guys go by last year then Hasslebeck takes 2/3 for almost the whole season, then Locker took control. As a 13 year veteran in 2011 there was no doubt that Matt will have the upper hand against a rookie in the film room. This was expected. On the field Hass was play the position better than any QB in the past 5 years. However, Hass didn't win the battle in the locker room. As much of a pro that Hass was, it was Jake who impressed Munch off the field. Munchack said that Locker was more of a professional than Hass. It was no knock on Hass, but more of an indication of how serious Locker was in terms of a professional. Something that Munchak preached all of last year. Fast forward to now it appears that Locker is the better player on the field and his film study's have improved. It's no surprise to me that It's Locker's job to lose. You know the Jags will let Gabbert go until he proves he can't. Do you really want to be the one team after the season is over that still hasn't seasoned its starting QB?
