Well damn... you mean you didn't get all tied up in knots over who shot JR? Did you even television, bro?

 I was too busy playing Nintendo, but my Uncle loved that show. He thought he was JR.

@9 Nines get in here!

Given how he ended up, hard to imagine he looked like this in the 70s

Cheers, Star Trek TNG...

I agree TNG is one of the best of the 80s...  Funnily enough, the first episode I ever watched was the final episode. There was a commercial that aired when the series first started in '87 that turned me off and I wouldn't give it a chance.

My first wife introduced me to the show a couple of months after the series officially ended in 94 (re-run of that final episode). In those days, it wasn't easy to catch up and binge watching a series was, as far as I can tell, impossible.  I still don't know if I've seen every episode.

It's on Paramount, I think.

New movies have gotten so bad I'm just rewatching 80s and 90s movies.

Bingo.  I look for old stuff that’s  newly getting released to disc  and treat those as “new movies” and  stuff to get excited about to watch.

About the only good thing is that technological advancements means that anyone can now make a movie and that it will good or less gritty.

I watched some new POS time travel movie .  It didn’t make any sense at all . The only positive was that it looked professional.

Anyway, even watching some of these average 90s movies now blows away some of these modern snoozers.

And it's crazy just how fast the marvel movies went down hill in every way possible after End Game.

I didn’t watch all of those movies.  But at some point it just went into overkill for me.  It’s basically got a similar framework for all of them.

At some point you need some variety.  And for better or some there are some things that I like seeing in movies ; like locations/cities and real places.  If you ever watched 70s cinema (applies to 80/90s too) there’s a certain grittiness the way it’s shot and the city is pretty much another character.  Those films are also non PC.

It sounds like we are old people complaining about this but everytime I watch some new movie it either feels empty or the plot never makes sense or the characters behave like morons for whatever reason .

The 80’s blockbusters and theater experience were awesome. Hang out at Rivergate Mall and then hit up the movies at Rivergate 8, and also Indian Lake. Good times…

There’s a BJ’s Wholesale Club where Rivergate 8 used to be. The mall is about to be demolished as well. 😟
