Magic Johnson gets diagnosed with AIDS at a time when AIDS was fucking fatal for everyone who got it. And somehow, Magic is still alive almost 35 years later. And not just alive, but he has thrived since his diagnosis. Oh, and somehow his wife somehow didn't get AIDS lol. Can we all agree he bought the secret cure that's not available to the public? Now let's talk about Michael J. Fox. Dude was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991. The same year Magic announced his diagnosis. The average person diagnosed with Parkinson's dies 10-16 years after being diagnosed. And yet somehow MJF is still alive almost 35 years later. Is there a secret cure for Parkinson's that is only available to the rich and famous? I am sure there are other similar examples but these two have always stood out to me. nine Posted September 14 Report Share Posted September 14 I'm sure we've all heard the theory/speculation that science has already discovered a cure for cancer.....but big Pharma will never release it: it's far more profitable to administer years of cancer treatments as opposed to curing it once and ending their revenue stream. I'm sure the theory is bullshit.....but if and when science does discover a cure for cancer, I'm sure there are plenty of big pharma corporations that would suppress that information if they felt it would pose a threat to their other revenue streams. It's not really a conspiracy, just a question of access. There's a reason why you don't hear about AIDS having negative outcomes very much at this moment in time. Is there a secret cure for Parkinson's that is only available to the rich and famous? Both my Father and my Mother in Law died with Parkinson's Disease. The each battled it for 18+ years. However they each weren't diagnosed until they were in their mid-to-late 60s I would guess that Fox's long run is due to the young age at onset with better baseline health.
