I think you're completely incorrect on that front but fair enough. We've all taken issue with Levis in one way or another. I was trolling the Tannestans quite a bit during that time, and enjoyed it, but even I said he has to get better in a lot of areas. He has the talent, but if he doesn't do something about his footwork and decision making then the highlight throws make him the Bizzaro Mariota.

LOL I love how you say asinine things, use wrong terms, and generally get exposed for being a homer poser, you claim you were kidding/trolling or not what you meant.....BS.  You said many many times Levis was playing well, was the franchise QB, here for years.  And now you say no.  Wrong.

This is like you trying to worm out about your Mariota stuff or going over the top about how good Willis was.

Yes, it's obvious our team thinks he's the franchise. The fact that I don't think he's done enough to warrant that is immaterial to any outcome but it's what I think and since this is a message board I think it's the appropriate place to express what I think. Each individual poster can decide how much of a shit they give. A wait and see approach is exactly what I'm advocating for regarding Levis. My concern, is that I feel like they've already made a decision.

It's very unpredictable to me.  He could either turn out to be great or another in the line of qb busts for our time.  I don't see an in between or a floor here which scares some people.

The good thing is that they're not financially committed. The hope is that as quickly as they've decided he is the guy, they can decide that he's not the guy and make the necessary adjustments. My concern exists simply because we don't really know any of these people of how they might handle such a situation. I'd like to think they'd handle things appropriately but you never really know until it happens.

I found it interesting that they have used very specific language with regard to Levis from AAS to Carthon and Brinker to Callahan. They say "promising" and "impressive physical skills to work with".  They have not used language like they did with Mariota for example.

Unless he improves on the accuracy and TWP plays, he won't be around long term.

His floor I think is a dollar tree Jameis Winston

Levis has all the tools to succeed physically and mentally it seems. It’ll all come down to if they can coach his footwork and accuracy; which sadly is very rare.

The new QB coach seems to have done wonders with others!

@Mythos27

The prosecution rests.

Not really.  Again you're stating he actively rooted for this.  All he did was make troll  and make fun of the fanbase which is dumb, others have pointed this out constantly.  This is totally different from what you state.

He's one of the people we make fun of though....He's not going to get it.

Have you listened to any national coverage of Levis compared to local coverage?  Vastly different.

I guess we only hear what we want to hear. They played his debut game over and over on Sportscenter. They were definitely hyped up. Same thing with the comeback win. They've talked about the next coach building around Levis and getting him pieces the same way they did for Burrow and any other FQB.

Criticism and doubt are fair, and they've been there for most of the discussions as well. If you think Levis is gonna suck, just say so. Peppering every comment with doubt about Levis is retarded.

LOL Sportscenter?  GTFO.

As for Levis, far too soon to tell but he definitely played worse than most of the fan base thinks he did last year.  The flaws he has are pretty significant and hard to overcome at the NFL level.  It's why he slid in the draft.  That said, guys like Allen and to a lesser extent Lamar and Hurts did improve in those areas and became really good so it's not completely unprecedented.  Odds are, however, stacked the other way.  I think he's closer to Jake Locker than Matthew Stafford.

I do think Callahan gives him a better shot to improve than if Vrabel had stayed.  It was a main reason I wanted Vrabel fired and an offensive minded coach.
