If they want to gain popularity nationally right now the only way to do it is re-branding back to the Oilers.  They weren’t even popular when they were winning with the exception of the first few years.  Becoming the Nashville Oilers fixes the problem almost overnight.

That's ridiculous.

This is true.  The popularity part.  With casual NFL fans, the Titans are one of the most irrelevant NFL franchises.

If you change if from Tennessee to Nashville I think it would have an impact.  Along with changing the uniforms and name.

Most casual NFL fans probably don't remember the Oilers either at this point lol

No, but at least the colors catch your eye and at least will make you remember them more than the Titans jerseys.

People aren’t going to magically start rooting for the franchise because they rebrand themselves the Oilers.

I didn’t say that.  But it would increase their popularity.  Do you at least agree with that?

I love the Oilers uniforms, possibly my favorite in NFL history, but I don’t know how we could make these our primarily uniforms while still being the Titans. Are you all saying we change our name back to the Oilers too? In all honestly, I really don’t have an issue rocking the Oilers uniforms full time and changing our name back to the Tennessee Oilers. And before anyone says anything, we do have a decent amount of oil production in TN. I looked it up on a U.S. Geological Service website. It’s well short of Texas obviously but ahead of many other states.
