lolzzzzz

He is definitely an asshole but why would I care? I don't have to deal with him lol.

He is the only guy who asks real questions it seems. I'll take it even if his personal takes are suspect. I this case though I agree.

I disagree because the team is (in theory) on the upswing, and if the GM is successful it should hit its peak in 2025/26 while Simmons is still in his prime and affordable. Once this iteration of the team starts the downslope though of course they should get what value you can for him

We have already seen Simmons in his prime. His body will deteriorate from here. By the time they realize it, it will be too late. And we will be arguing about how "great" Simmons actually was given the lack of longevity to his career.

This was a bad take when you first brought it up and it’s a bad take now.

But it wasn't. When I brought it up, he still had value. From that point on, all he gave the Titans was an invoice for his services and doctors bills.

I'll give you points for sticking to your guns, still not going to happen.

We would theoretically be able to trade him this year, for 40mil in dead cap....

Next year? We would save 2mil but eat 20 in dead cap.

The first year it realistically could happen is 2026 where we save 16mil with 9.5 in dead cap.

All that said, I seriously doubt Ran would trade or cut his first major contract while he is still a top 10 player at his position especially on a relatively team friendly contract.

Let's also hold off on the injury prone talk when everyone was hurt under vrable.

Simmons plays a much more valuable role/position. It's not the same. Simmons could possibly get another contract from us if he plays well. With Henry, from the moment he signed that last deal, it was pretty clear he was gone once it expired almost regardless of how he played.

Why are they defending that numpty KickCuckTitan? Paul is absolutely right, idgaf about Henry now, he’s gone. Great player but I cheer for the titans.

Hell he fucked our QB over last year.

Vrabel was the word you were looking for.

One thing I’ll say - I don’t think there should be a rookie salary cap.  Overall salary cap is good business.  Rookie cap is exploitative.
