BudsOilers
It was brutally disappointing to see the Titans - basically Tannehill and Downing - self destruct and waste a great opportunity to make a real SB run. I've seen Oiler/Titan teams do this too much in my 40 years or so of following the team. That being said, they still have their window of being a legit contender for the near future. Tannehill isn't Mahomes, Allen, or Rodgers. At the same time, it's an overreaction to say he's not top 10 and needs to be replaced. I'd remind people that outside of Mahomes and Brady, the elite QB's going to and winning SB's is more of the exception not the rule. Rodgers has been to 1 SB. Brees made 1. Wilson's been in 2. That being said, Tannehill had a chance to re-write his narrative and if anything he made it worse. Picked a bad time to force a couple of throws. Now Downing isn't off the hook either. Watching other passing offenses over the weekend reinforces that the Titans passing game schematically is a problem. Whether it's with Downing or not, the Titans need to incorporate some of these concepts to get guys in space. Along with that, they need to upgrade TE and 3rd WR with speed/quickness. As others have mentioned, the Titans plays are also too predictable. The bubble screen needs to be scrapped as it never works and who didn't see play action coming on the 1st play? And why have all the receivers on the same side that only made Bates key easier??? Not running a sneak on 3rd and inches was idiotic and the failure to get the 4th and 1 - awful. Predictable plays and the poorly executed. Henry didn't look 100%. Not surprised but it blew up in their face giving him 20 carries for minimal production. That was the fear and one can't think that if Foreman and Hilliard got those carries that the run game would have been better on Saturday. One other thing about our generational "King". Here's the production in the last 3 playoff games: 57 carries for 171 yards (3.0 yards/carry) and 2 TD. 57 yards/game. And this really isn't bashing Henry but simply put playoff teams are not going to allow him to go off like he did versus NE and Baltimore. Defensively, the Titans are fine. Fully confident they keep the unit intact and they should be able to do so. It's pathetic that the effort was wasted.
titansfan
Tannehill is not top 10 and has maximized his playing level. If the opportunity presents itself for a better QB, he needs to be replaced.

Bongo59
Rogers was not elite against SF. Tanny was better for a half against SF than Rogers was.
Lars
Agree with almost all you said. Tannihill isn’t going anywhere so I wish we could come to our senses and get rid of Downing. Most of yesterday was on Tannihill but the situational playcalling was atrocious beyond words. We need some creativity. It’s just stagnant. I feared Henry’s return would be a distraction and I believe it was. He shouidnt have started.
Bongo59
On the last pic if you see the all 22 you will see Firsker was wide open and Tanny did not even look at him. He was on 15 all the way. That is not on Downing.
Guts
If Farely can come back next year and have a season like Fulton did this year, defense should look even better than last year. Especially, with the Long/Cunningham combination in the middle.

Also not sure Firsker gets to the sticks - that safety is in position to close quickly if he gets it.

Freak of an athlete but a hell of a hill to climb for sure.

Health wise he might be done in a few years,

headhunter
I have no hope for Farley. I didn't like the pick at all last year. You can't pick players that were broken in college and expect them to be healthier in a league with bigger, stronger, faster players. I honestly think he's a bust and has no chance to be a 17 game starter at any time in the future.

Not to mention Firkser is the last read aka checkdown. Tannehill didn't bypass Firkser in the progression, he never made it to him. You can argue Tannehill shouldn't have thrown to Westbrook but like you said he was open by NFL standards, the DB just made a great play.

He did albeit a better ball placement (on NWI's inside instead of out) makes it a lot harder for Apple to make a play without DPI.
