Caleb Farley and Cameron Batson both done for the year with ACL injuries

Like I said in the game thread, JRob got greedy thinking he could pull another Simmons out of his hat.

Farley was a big gamble. That would be fine if it weren't for his track record the last few drafts. JRob really needs to trim the fat on his approach next year. Our 1st round picks need to start fucking contributing in year 1 for a change. Enough of this swinging for the fences on projects bullshit.

Horrific for Farley’s development.

hate to see it. Instead of working on technique and working to become a better player in the off-season, he will be working to rehab that knee. Not his fault, but just super unfortunate.

Despite what some may think I take absolutely no joy in seeing him get injured again but seriously JRob needs to take some responsibility for once again gambling on a first round pick.

Yep - totally agree. Anyone of Darrishaw, Bateman, Newsome II, JOK, Stokes, Rousseau, Turner, Oweh, Tryon, Samuel Jr., Onwuzurike, Barmore, Dickerson, Myers, Humphrey, Freiermuth, E. Moore, R. Moore, or Ojulari all could have been good fits in one way or another and been contributing already (I know several are injured now as well).

To be fair, the ACL wasn’t really a serious concern when it came to Farley. It was his back that was the long term concern. Him getting injured tonight really isn’t JRob’s fault or due to him picking the wrong guy. It’s just bad luck.

But it does suck. And on a night where everyone was so excited about seeing him finally get to play…

Those 3 late round round 1 pass rushers have looked good so far this year but the pick should of been Newsome.

Unfortunate. But Farley didn't look that good and neither do any of our returns, basically ever. Thin at CB, young cats need to play to develop and Batson could contribute some ... but neither is that big a loss. More-so, we wish they would develop into bigger losses and now they don't have the chance. CB, specifically, is a horror story position group right now. Might need to trade again.

Guys who continually get injured in CFB don't usually magically stop getting injured in the NFL.
