JLocker10
We should all be happy about Williams going to Buffalo, a team with little chance to make the playoffs in a division with 3 teams clearly better at this point than they are. Would you rather have seen Williams stay with the Texans? If Williams is going anywhere in the AFC, Buffalo is one of the best places for him to go for fans of other AFC teams. It's very disappointing to not get him, but yes, him going to BUF would take some of the sting away He will probably disappoint there BUF is where FA go to die I bet in a few years, people won't even remember what team Mario Williams is on That's how relevant BUF is lol
scine09
Didn't Shawn Merriman go to Buffalo? Does anyone even remember Shawn Merriman?
JLocker10
Didn't Shawn Merriman go to Buffalo? Does anyone even remember Shawn Merriman? Merriman had a lot of injury issues, surgeries, and personal issues (Tila Tequila) by the time he got to BUF Not a fair comparison imo
T-RAC
I don't think the Titans were going to offer MW 17-20m manning race or no. But its not over til it's over
cenj
People are discounting Buffalo way too much. They played pretty solid last year and have a lot of young talent emerging. It turned out that Fitzpatrick was hurt during that tailspin. If he gets back healthy 100% and the offense is going again, Mario could absolutely transform that defense. The division is very much up for grabs over the next few years.
JLocker10
"Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News reports that the Bills are doing all they can to get Williams to sign now, before he leaves Buffalo. The Bills want to make Williams the highest-paid defensive player in the league, with a deal better than the six-year, $91.5 million contract that Julius Peppers signed with the Bears in 2010. The Bills’ offer to Williams will apparently include more than $91.5 million in total money, more than the $40.5 million in the first three years that the Bears gave Peppers, and more than the $42 million guaranteed that the Bears gave Peppers." Denali
All it takes is for someone to call the Bills FO: "Uhh ... yeah ... Hi. This is Mario Williams. I am sorry but I have uhh ... decided I don't want to play in Buffalo. Uhh.. thank you for your hospitality and best wishes."
TitansWycheck89
What happened to all this talk about Mario Williams not caring about the money and more about the situation that the team is in? They won't be able to beat the Patriots or the Jets.
Stan
I'm laugh when Williams colllects that money and busts. He has it written all over his face.
CMJ
I guess its bitter sweet. It would have been better if the Titans didn't hint that they want him or shifted their focus away from him. Fuck you Adams Hahaha
kgsTitan
I'm laugh when Williams colllects that money and busts. He has it written all over his face. I agree. How in the world this guy is suddenly considered an all-time legend is beyond me. Apparently, a LOT of people have not watched many Texans games over the past 5 years. Jamalisms
Did anyone stop and think that maybe Mario didn't want to come to Tennessee? Not only that, one specific team is always a long shot at landing the big name in FA... which we all have been talking about since day 1. Bud's pursuit of Manning isn't the reason people. It's wrong for other reasons.

There no way Budhead would have paid out that kind of dough unless Mario could sell 20,000 Titans jerseys. I'm afraid Oman is right again. Bud's not concerned with winning championships. He wants to field a minimally competitive team and sit back and let the bank account grow.
Guest
Calm down. Every player has a price and smart teams know when to bail on negotiations. I doubt Manning has anything to do with this.
