Tesla Cybertruck

You've got to give Elon Musk credit for pushing the envelope when it comes to design, but the back half of the truck is ugly.  The front angles are pretty dope.  The glass breaking during the demo was hilarious and exposes Musk's MO for outrageous claims that often are untrue.

Maybe Musk got stoned and watched 1982's Megaforce...

i'll give them credit for a bold design but personally i like the curves of other designs better.

I liked that design personally.

And just for comparison since they haven't been posted

It’s a low framerate truck. It’s a bit pixelated.

I mean... I could see that sort of thing catching on. As I get older I keep expecting some trend to catch on that I'm completely not on board with... something that's just completely against my style and what I'm use to. That's what's typically happened w/ every generation as the new generation takes over so maybe it's cars w/ this look. I dunno.

Not my thing though.

The design might be more aerodynamic somehow. Not sure. It doesn’t look it, but sometimes it comes off as counter-intuitive. Or maybe it’s just much cheaper to build it with pieces that don’t need to be bent into curved shapes. It’s full of just flat edges that I guess would be easier to produce.

Either way, it looks like it would appeal to people who want to be seen. It’s so unique looking that attention seekers would probably flock to it.

I doubt there's any logistical reasoning behind it other than it looks different. They're trying for that pixelated look in order to try and be new and trendy.

It looks like what some sci-fi writer from the 60s thought future vehicles would look like.

I saw a tweet today that said it looks like what an 80's action movie claimed our cars would look like in 2020.

I saw another that said it was designed on an original PlayStation.

Both tweets are accurate.
