OzTitan
WTF Zimmer. He calls a timeout at 2:02 where the Bears are about to take a delay of game and get into punting position. The timeout stirs the Bears into action and they go for it on 4th down instead, 1st down.

Gotta admit Quinn looked a little rough on the sideline.... Quinn left 9 pts out there on the field Really bad coaching decisions imo

OzTitan
I know it's really early, but you gotta think the Redskins are regretting the Haskins pick. They should be in a prime position to draft a much better QB prospect and could have used that pick on something more pressing heading into 2020 with a rookie QB. Grudens offense isn't rookie friendly. He shouldn't have gone in today. If the leash was that short for Keanum Haskins should have been named the QB early in the week. They can always follow the Cardinals blueprint and trade Haskins in 2020 but they did need a qb and Haskins fell to their pick.

Unless they really do like Haskins a lot, I just think they are more likely to like the 2020 QBs more and are looking like they'll be competing for the #1 spot. And given Gruden could be out at any moment, it seems like a wasted pick. Unless they think Haskins stacks up to the 2020 prospects of course. Otherwise this is Rosen all over again. I know nothing about Haskins and looking at his stats he obviously has talent. But Washington is a shit show with a terrible owner. I was suspicious when they drafted him given he's the hometown kid and Snyder is trying to keep fans in the seat. That said he'll probably suck given that Gruden is a lame duck and he'll have a new HC next year.
rns90
It'll be interesting to see who gets that Skins HC job given the shitshow in ownership/management.

Gruden didnt make the pick. In fact he was 100% against it by all accounts. Whomever the next HC is will have to make Haskins part of his plan. Its ine reaso. Why the skins are a trainwreck of an organization.

It will be interesting to see if they can resist the temptation of a new QB if they have their pick of the bunch then. In that situation I guess the trainwreck move would be to stick to their guns and let a HOF'r pass them. Sounds like it will also limit their next HC search too. I don't get your argument. Haskins was not a reach and has all the tools to be a good NFL QB. Unless he looks terrible the rest of the year the Skins arent drafting a QB. It's hilarious to see how they've screwed up the qb spot. They didn't bother to resign/extend Cousins and instead franchised him twice. Then they downgrade to Alex Smith (and give up picks and a player to acquire him). And now they might have to pass on a better qb in the 2020 draft and the new coach gets saddled with Haskins. It's not an argument, it's just pointing out that the Redskins may not have expected to be in a position to draft the top QB in 2020 and, if they had, maybe they don't take Haskins in 2019. Maybe the better long term plan in hindsight would have been to draft someone else this year and get their QB next year. I'm sure the same was said for Rosen and the Cardinals in 2018.
