Looks like trump got his way.  How much did he say he would cut from the budget.

Why go from do what you want to all of a sudden stop it or we will fine the club.

Also why not fine the player directly for his act.  Absolute load of bull.

Politicians: "Freedom, liberty, get government out of our lives! Defend your god-given rights!"

Players: "We agree!"

Politicians: "Noooo, not like that!"

That inconvenient majority rule thing

great point. This really is a non story created by the TV networks.

I think this is one of your greatest all-time post.  I have saved this to may great events album.  I got a "like" and a quote from @oldschool.  And I still got all my teeth!!

I’m sure you mean it’s asking too much for millions of snowflake fans to care about what the players are protesting about...

I wonder how many of the people that it pissed off stop what they are doing at home or stand up off their couch and remove their hats for the anthem. My guess is none of them.

Agreed, the hypocrisy level is too high for those who aren't public figures.

I agree.  Those that pretend it matters at all should play the anthem for everything.  Checking out at the grocery store?  Play the anthem.  Pumping gas?  Play the anthem.  Before TV shows and movies?  Anthem.  Pump up that nationalistic fervor to be better manipulated.

I don’t necessarily agree with this, but that was hilarious.

What will happen with all the money our military is paying this billion dollar corporation if all the players decide to stay in the locker room during the anthem? Seems like that publicity could be even worse..

This is definitely going to happen at some point, and then we’ll be back at square one with a new ruling:

Players may choose to stay in the locker room, but it is a 15 yard penalty for every player that does. If both teams stay in the locker room the team will be fined and lose a draft pick. If the team doesn’t have any draft picks then we will sacrifice a player of our choosing during the next anthem.
