Giants will win any bidding war for him.

He's their no. 1 target reportedly.

I saw a bit of the Shurmur press conference being introduced as the Giants HC. He made a comment that both he and GM Gettleman agree that any football team begins with the OL....

i think its a certainty we trade somebody. looking at the defensive side of the ball.. somebody or somebodies from the front 7 that doesnt fit whatever changes we decide we will make there.

also.. watts career is almost over. hes injured to often. no way you trade lewan for him. that'd be silly.

Interesting that we just finished a playoff game where Conklin got hurt and Kelly went in at RT.  Mariota got his brains beat in.

Look at what happened to the Cowboys when they had to play Byron Bell at LT.  Bottom line we could get fortunate to fill the void with a FA or draft pick and Conklin and end up not hurting ourselves that badly.  But it might be far better and less risky to just look for upgrades at positions we need to improve and keep our bookend OTs intact.

It is interesting that all the improvement for the Rams goes to Goff and coaching and certainly they had their part.  Well people forget they signed Whitworth and that might have been the biggest improvement for them.  Pass protection was better as well as run blocking.  I'd even argue Whitworth is every bit as valuable to that team's success as Donald.

Absolutely.  I almost posted that myself.

Well I'm not going to argue about this anymore because it's not realistic & Im also right.

Back to the original OP, Corey Glenn was a guy I thought about, because he can play RT if Conklin needs a few weeks & then move inside to RG. Plus Buffalo was looking to move him. I doubt this very much though.

It’s bad when I’m asking “can we get back on topic”

can we get back on topic?

Who is out there? What position did JR teams always trade for

CB, WR, RB

i would look at Marcus Peters. I think he can be had for the right price. KC is tired of him.

Offer 25 for Peters and pair him with Adoree and Ryan and Byard

I wouldn’t trade a franchise LT for a franchise pass rusher.

No no way I let go of Lewan with Conklin tearing his ACL, and Kelly as backup... just no.

Trade draft picks or for the sake of he draft just draft one.

DaRon Payne will be a monster

Obviously I know what the majority opinion is, but football people would trade Lewan for Donald in a second. Everyone of them.

I refuse to get excited about FA anymore. Every year we hear about all this cap space but it doesn't matter. It's obvious the Titans simply don't have the on hand cash to compete for the top guys. It has nothing to do with the cap. The cap is a farce.

I’m not excited about it this year bc the crop of players expected to be available just aren’t that good.

I actually think it would be the complete reverse, of course the caveat being that your replacement stinks in either case.

We'll never know.

This coming from the guy who freaked out in 2016 and said we would’ve beaten Minn and Oak if Cassell was the starting qb.

I never said that. I have no idea what you're talking about.

LaMarcus Joyner, the Rams FS, would be a nice pickup if we wanted to move Byard to SS.
