I can't believe people actually believe Mularkey and his staff were good...

But it feels like a pretty weak excuse to wave a wand and say a guy who has never been out there isn't out there so it's understandable.

We saw him, he looked damn good. He'd make plays against single coverage

And they def did not underachieve today with their circumstances

Am getting less comfortable with picking an injured Corey Davis at 5 with every loss.

Am with you that this is starting to point at Robinson in addition to Mularkey, but it isn't looking like a fun year.

I wanted defense anyway but had they went defense at 5 they would have done something else for another WR

Other than Jonnu Smith and Taywan Taylor?

You can't have 1st rounders at every position, and if you have the QB it makes sense to presume he'll make decent players better.  Elite WRs are over-rated, we all know that.

No, I think they would have went after someone in free agency.

But as I posted in my game thoughts, it's not just that Davis out. The fact Douglas and Sharpe are also out they cannot even run 3 WR sets

I'm not absolving him. Cassel sucks. His play was on him. The fact that he is even on the roster is on the staff and Robinson. Marcus has been hurt 3 times in his young career coming into this season. Odds were pretty good he was going to get hurt again and be forced to miss time. How anyone looked at Matthew Fucking Cassel and said "we can win games with him if Marcus is out" is beyond comprehension.

Cassel's poor play is on him.

Cassel being in the game -- on the roster at all!!! -- is on the staff and front office.

Now we're talking. I'm 1000% with you.

In today's presser, Mularkey said re: Marcus's injury, when he was asked that the NFL said Marcus might be out 2-4 weeks, Mularkey's answer was you can believe them or you can believe me.  I will answer you honestly.  LOL!

Making a change with any part of the new regime 5 games into year 2 would be completely stupid, something "fans' would call for. Mariota does not need to learn his 3rd offensive system, that would just be flat out stupid.

Up until the hammy Mariota was the best protected QB in the league, barely sacked or pressured. The offense was doing well even with some injuries and problems. You don't scrap all that and start over with a new coaching staff.

The reason Alex Smith is a potential MVP right now is because he finally has stability.

The bashing of Robinson is also ridiculous. Of course some of the picks haven't panned out, that's impossible. It's also not his fault the back-up QB is way worse than the starter, there aren't enough quality starters for all 32 teams.

Offenses take multiple years to become stable and execute well in a lot of cases. Injuries matter. There are examples all over the league of offenses sputtering when their QBs or someone like David Johnson goes down.

The only place I'd consider a change is DC after the season. That doesn't effect the development of the QB and they can be changed out pretty easily.

You're insane if you don't believe the Rams greatly upgraded their offensive talent.

You;re also ignoring the losses the Titans had in this game, Mariota, Lewan, Woodyard for large time and Davis didn't play, who you added to the Titan additions

Note to self- please reference these posts when the board tries to defend the Titans unwillingness to pay for good FAs

You beat me too it, the offense just needs to get healthy. The defense has some talent but DL's time has come to and end.
