The Lakers are a joke right now, just like the Cowboys. Their fans are all living in the past while their team keeps losing.

Who is your NBA team ?

We've won 5 championships since 2000.... not too shabby. You can't win every year.... I guess the 18th championship is always the hardest to win :-D

I blame Kobe for a majority of our recent woes.

Only people talking bout the past are the ones who keep saying Kobe needed shaq.

It's funny how haters have so much to say on them though.

Kobe did need Shaq.... Shaq was the driving force behind the 3-peat, not Kobe. Even then, it took some really lucky bounces and big shots from role players to even get there.

Did you even watch the playoffs or finals during that run ? I'm guessing no, you didn't.

Still none of those were in the last 6 years, and they've averaged 22 wins over the last 3 years. They'll be lucky to win 22 games next season.

They're basically the Knicks of the West.  They hit bottom the last year and it can't get any worse for them if you're looking for a bright spot.

I think LeBron could leave, he can claim he brought the title to Cleveland

I have a feeling he will, but only if he can play with CP3, Wade or Melo

i could see him coming to LA and the Lakers packaging Randle, Russell and a future 1st for CP3

thats fantasy.

Im thinking LA walks out of FA with Whiteside/Horford and SG like DeRozan and a SF like Barnes and possibly another C like Speights. However I could live without Speights bc I dig the Croatian C we took

C - Whiteside / Speights / Zubac

PF - Randle / Nance / Speights

SF - Ingram / Barnes

SG - DeRozan / Clarkson

PG - Russell / Williams

The cap shoots up another 30 mil next season.

Add in another max guy and bam...

Ppl who hate the lakers automatically hate Russell and Randle who are two up and coming very talented players.

They won't be all time greats, but they could be stars. Not superstars, but stars.

If you knew anything about last year, you should know Scott hates 3 pt shots, and barely played Russell bc he was a rookie not bc he "sucks"

at the end of the season Scott let them play, and gave Russell plenty minutes and he started dropping 20-30 a game consistently. He grew so much despit Scott and will be a great distributor and playmaker for us.

Hell, his rookie year is damn near close to Nash's.

Randle is a double-double on a bad team. Put a major center by him like Whiteside and he is gonna put up better numbers.

Ingram whose possibly the best rookie in this draft all around, is gonna light it up day 1.

Walton will let these guys play and to their strengths. He's well respected, highly intelligent and players want to play for him.

LA has an open spot on the team for a superstar to take over Kobes spot (Ingram already doing that)

Sry folks. Give it 2 years... LA is gonna be right back in it.

I won't lie, I'm not too optimistic about next season. Even though we've been losing, I don't see any of the guys we drafted becoming an elite player. To be fair, they were both essentially rookies last season and Ingram hasn't even stepped on the court yet. I'll admit, I thought Durant was too scrawny to thrive in the NBA and I was way off on that, hopefully Ingram can prove me wrong as well.

My hopes is these guys develop/keep improving... we sign some good, solid, defenders this year during free agency (but not break the bank). I'd go all in next year, for Durant and Westbrook (assuming Durant signs a 2 year, 2nd year being optional w/ OKC). Now that Kobe is gone, I think we may be able to finally sign some big name free agents again.

Haha. Trust me we don't win without Horry or Fish either. Just like Bron Bron and wade dont win without Ray Ray and Bron dont with without Kyrie. Mj dont with without Pippen. Get off Shaqs dick.

Kobe haters hate.

He's just being realistic. The 3-peat was total team effort.

Kobe showed up and almost got a 3-peat without Shaq and a way way way less talented team against 3 HOF

Lakers may not be awesome, but definitely will be fun this year.

If anyone is on anyone else's dick, it's you on Kobe's. Not surprising though, what other grown man calls another grown man Bron Bron ? LOL

If you are really this dense, there is no point in continuing this conversation.

Back in what, contention for 4th place in the Pacific division? The Lakers aren't getting both Whiteside and DeRozan.

There are 29 other teams out there and most of them are already way better, and a lot of them also have a ton of cap space too.

This sounds so familiar, like something said about another guy who was drafted #2 overall last year. What was his name?

Russell? No one was better than KAT. You're high.

Ingram is all around a better player than Simmons

Simmons is efficient at passing and scoring in the paint. But don't ask that kid to take many if any shots outside of the paint considering 84% of his buckets came in the paint.

Hes gonna be good, but he has a lot of work to do compared to Ingram.

Ingram needs to gain15 pounds.

Simmons needs to develop a damn jump shot

It looks like you are the one that is high.  Simmons was the concensus #1 pick, and would be on the Lakers if they had won the 1st pick.   Simmons has the potential of a superstar, something they are not saying about ingram.

Future looks very bright for the sixers, with embiid and Simmons as studs, along with future Lakers and kings no 1 picks.
