Jonboy
It happened. Amy Adams Strunk made the call and Ken Whisenhunt is out as Titans Head Coach. Jonboy, Jamal, and Scotty are here to break down the news, not only what it means now, but for the ultimate future of the franchise. Is there a more dysfunctional franchise in the entire NFL than the Titans? http://traffic.libsyn.com/twotonecrew/Episode_108.mp3 http://twotonecrew.libsyn.com/rssStitcher: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-two-tone-crewVoicemail:(615) 900-0282Mailbag: [email protected]Facebook:http://www.facebook.com/titansreportTwitter:Titans Report- @titansreport Jonboy- @RetroRaconteur Jamal- @Jamalisms iTunes:https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-two-tone-crew/id485247545?mt=
Bobo
I think Oman summed it up by simply saying Whiz was making a bad team worse. Even if I can't get super excited for Mularkey, there seems nothing to lose by letting Whiz go and possibly something to gain by changing some of our offensive philosophy. Mularkey's resume doesn't really make me all that dismissive of him (the 2012 Jags probably did have a worse roster than we currently have), and Jason Michael's play calling is just as intriguing of a change-up to me. I'll throw in my OL change idea fwiw. I'd like to see Poutasi take over for Warmack and keep Meredith at RT. It's not ideal, but maybe the best we can do when we don't have a RT who can pass block well. This won't happen as it's basically admitting Chance is a bust, they'll probably give him more time to undoubtedly prove that.

Jamalisms
Figured I'd throw those out there as it relates to the discussions surrounding execution v scheme, trade offs if we're going to protect Mariota and the running more / RGIII (Mularky talked about Slash) stuff. In short, we were generally on point - per usual. Also thought it was interesting to read that Jeff Diamond article and how he commented on you can't lose in Houston because that's ownership's home town. Guest
I think it's time to bring TGO on again to give us a pep talk on Webster.
rns90
Good show. Since I didn't listen to the Underwood interview yet when I heard the podcast, so I paid attention to the parts which Underwood spoke about Webster. OMan nailed it though, it was a very weak "defense" of Webster. If I had just been reading the tweets, I wouldn't have gotten that. And I liked that they actually got ahead of this thing and fired Whiz now instead of like the last time where they took a few days to fire Munchak (and Fisher too). And unlike last time I think this is an attractive job because there is a QB here this time. Peter King said the same thing just now, while questioning the ownership. I just hope that they pick the right guys this time. This sounds horrible but I'm rooting for them to lose the majority of their remaining games so Webster will be fired. Cyrus
I don't think we'll see any RGIII type plays for Mariota. I could see them move the pocket a bit more, but for the most part I can see them trying to throw the ball from 3-5 step drops to Wright and DGB on slants, curls and crossers. I think we will see a big uptick in running though.

Tex in a Can
For me, the turning point on Whisenhunt was watching Mettenberger in pain laying on the turf at the end of the game last Sunday. At that point, I was done.
Jamalisms
Fortunately, then, it also sounds like the Titans are done with Poutasi at RT. Unfortunately, it'll be Bell.
